HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 937-194442O RESOLUTION NO. 95~ RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING RESULTS OF GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN TEE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ON APRIL llTH, 1944. ..WHEREAS a general municipal election was held in and through the City of ~outh San Fra~ncisco on the llth day of April, 1944, for the election of three (3) members of the city council of said City of South San Francisco, the city treasurer and city clerk; and W~ the city clerk of said city has du~y presented to the city council of the city of South San Francisco all the returns of the votes cast at said election; and WHEREAS said city council nas inspected and examined all said returns; NOW, T~.:~'ORE, resolved b~ the city council of the City of South San Francisco t~at said city council finds as follows: The whole number of votes cast in said Ci~2 of SOUth San Francisco is Two Thousand Three Hundred Fourteen (2,~14) The names of the persons voted for at said general municipal election a~e as follows: For members of the city council of said City of South San Francisco, Emilio Cortesi, Samuel J. Costa, Charles Kendall Elder, Ivan Mark Hays, George William Holston, Reese Lloyd, David Nilliam Ratto; for city treasurer, Edward Phillip Kauffmann; for city clefS, Daniel M cSwe e ney. At said general municipal election there were submitted to the voters the following meas1/re~$ Proposition No. I Referendum. Shall Ordinance No. 22'7 entitled "An ordinance amending Ordinance No. 216 entitled tAn ordinance cf the City of South 3an Francisco creating and establishimg a personnel system for said city,'# passed by the City Council of the City of South. San Francisco on the 18t~ day of January, 1943, the effective date of which ordinance was sus- pended by a referendum petition filed in the office of the City Clerk of said city on the 16th day of February, 1943, be adopted? Proposition No. 2 Initiative. Shall an ordinance amending Section 2 of Ordinance No. 51 entitled "An ordinance fixing tb~ salaries and compensation of the treasurer, clerk, marshal and recorder of the City of South San Francisco, and repealing Ordinance Number Eight of the C~ty of South San Francisco passed on the 14tn day of December, 1908,~ entitled 'An ordinance fixing the salaries and com~Ansatton of treasurer, clerk, marshal and recorder of the City of South San FrancisCo, '" passed April 1, 1912, be adopted?
