RESOLUTION TO MAKE APPLICATION FOE PERMIT TO DISPOSE OF HA1/ SEWAGE AT OR
REAR THE CONFLUENCE OF THE SLOUGHS AT BEL AIR LAUNCHING BA~E AND TO
ACQUIRE A TREATMENT PLANT SITE IN THE VICINITY, SOUTH/SAN FRANCISCO
of SOUTH
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South Sai'~ Francisco that said city make
application to the State Board of Pulbio Health for a permit to intercept the sewage of
Lomita Park, San Bruno, South San Prancisco, and later, COlmA Creek Valley and San Bxexno
Advance Base amd other contiguous territory and to pump the sewage to the confluence of
the sloughs of Bel Air Launching Base for disposal by dilution.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to publis~h by one insertion in "The Enterprise#, a
weekly newspaper printed and published in said ~ity of South San Francisco, a notice, in
form as follows:

Application has been made by the .City of South San Francisco to the State Boax~l of
Health for pez~mit to intercept the sewage of L/~nita :park, San Bx-~no, So~h San Francisco
and later Colma Creek Valley and probably San Bruno Advance Base and other contiguous
territory and to pump the .sewage .to the confluence of .the sloughs at Bel Ai~ Launching
Base for disposal by dilution. It is contemplated t~at a treatment plant site will be
acquired at or near the point of outlet and that as a postwar project a sewage darifier
and digester plant with a pertinent works will be constructed.
Interested persons are invited to obtain any desired information from the Bu~ea~ of
Sanitary Engineering, 18 Shattuck Square, Berkeley 4, California, or from the Works
Engineer of the City of South San Francisco, and to file with the State Department of Public
Health, Sacramento, California, within two weeks of the date of appearance of this-notice,
any objections based on public nuisance or menace to health. Objections based on other
than public health or sanitation interests cannot be considered.
