RESC~UTION MAKING APPLICATION TO THE FEDERAL
WOEK~ AGENCY, WAR PUBLIC SERVICES, FOR
$1~,000.00 AS A CONTRIBUTION FOR 'MAINTENANCE
AND OPERATION OF RECREATION FACILITIES
Wt~EREA3 the City Council of the 0try of South San Prancisco is of the opinion .that
there exists in this city an acute shortage of public 'service necessary to the health,
safety and welfare of persons engaged in national defense activities, which cannot be
provided w~en needed, and cannot be provided without the fmposition of an increased and
excessive tax burden in said city;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco t~at said city make
application to the Federal Wgrks Agency, War Public Services, in t he smount of Thirteen
Thousand Dollars ($1~,000.00) as a contribution for the maintenance and operation of
recreation facilities in said City of South San Francisco, California, for the period
beginning September, 15, 1944, and ending September 14, 1945~ ·
The Mayor of said City is hereby authorized .and directed, in t~e name of said City,
to make tl~e application hereby authorized.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adppted
by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this 5tn day of September, 1944,
by t~e following vote:
