RESOLVED by the city council of the city of south San Francisco that that certain resolution wherein sai~ city council awarded to L. C. Smith a contract to to a uniform depth of three (.~3 inches, as shown upon the plans prepared by the Wor~ Engineer of said city, and to pave with three (3) inches of plant mix surfacing the northerly side of Hillside Boulevard from Linden Avenue to Arden Avenue between the existing payment a~d the existing curb, be, and the same hereby is amended by addin~ t~ereto the following: Said L. C. Smith shall agree to pay t~e prevailing rates of per diem wages and the general prevailing rates for legal holiday and overtime work applicable to t~e work to be done as follows: CLASS IFIC ATI ON Power Grader, Power Planer, Motor Patrol or any type power blade Tractors Dump trucks (Truck capacity) 4 yards, per day 5 yards, per day 6 yards, per day Water and Oil trucks, up to and including l, 200 gals. Water and 0il t~ucks, over 1,200 gals PER DIEM WAGE $ 13. O0 HOURLY WAGE RATES $1.62 18.00 8.90 9.00 9.50 9.00 10.00 Guards, watchmen and other common labor, not less than $0.90 per hour. The rate for any employee not listed in the above schedule shall not be les. than $1.10 per hour for skilled labor, $0.96 for intermediate labor and $0.90 for unskilled. Overtime work will be double the above rates. Sundays and holidays (except watchmen) double the above rates. The following are to be considered holidays: New Year's Day, Decoration Day~ Independence Day, Labor Day, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and Sunda2s. The contractor, and every subcontractor under said contractor, agrees to pa~ not less than the said specified rates to all laborers, workmen and mechanics employed in the execution of this agreement. 44'2 I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the city council of the city of South San Francisco, this ll day of October 1944, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido~ Charles K.
