RESOLUTION AMENDING SECTION 3 OF RULE II AND
SECTION I OF RULE IV OF ~{E PERSONNEL RULES AND
REGULATIONS OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
RESOLVED by the city Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows:
Section '3 of Rule II of the personnel rules and regulations of the City of South San
Francisco is hereby amended So that said Section 3, as amended, shall read as follows:
Sec. 3. "Outside Employment"~ Full time officers and employees shall devote their whole
time and attention to the business thereof, and are prohibited from following any other calling or
being engaged in any other business or oc~apation, provided, however, that for the duration of the
war, in ~hich the United States of America is now engaged, and for the period of six (6) months
thereafter, such full time officers and employees may be allowed to engage in outside employmaat,
upon obtaining the written consent of the respective heads of the departments in which they work.
Such consent shall be filod with the City Clerk.
Section 1 of Rule IV of said personnel rules and regulations of the City of South San
Francisco is hereby amended so that said Sec~on 1, as amended, shall read as follows:
Sec. 1. "Classification Schedule": Classified service of the City of South San Fran-
cisco under this schedule is made up as follows:
A. Clerical and Fiscal~
(1) The City License Collector and his employees.
(2) The City Auditor and his employees.
(3) The City Tax Collector and his employees.
(4) The City Librarian a~nd his employees.
B. Administrative:
(1) The Chief of Police and m~mhers of his department.
(2) The Fire Chief and members of his department.
(3) The City Engineer and members of his department.
(4) The Superintendent of Streets and members of his department.
(5) The ~uperintendent of Parks and members of his department.
(6) The Building Inspector and members of his department.
C. Legal and Judicial:
(1) The City Attorney and members of his sts/f.
(2) The City Jud~e and court attaches.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by
the City Council of the City of ~outh ~an Francisco this 20th day of November, 1944, by the follow-
ing vote:
