Rw, SOLUTION ORDERING Ti~E CONSTRUCTION OF AN 0U~FALL SEWER
:~VESTERLY FROI',~ T~E S~,VER SERVING THE LINDi~2~V!LLE HOUSING PROJECT.
RESOLVED by tt~e city council of the city of South San Francisco that public inter-
est and convenience req~ire the following public improvement work to be done in said city~
to-wit:
A line of vitrified clay pipe outfall sewer, with manholes, from the existing
eighteen (18) inch outfall sewer, serving the Lindenville !ousin~S Project of the 'llousing
Authority of the City of South San Francisco, in a general westerly direction to a point
east of E1 Camino Real.
All said work shall be done at the 'location shovm upon t±'~e plans imreinafter
mentioned, and strictly in accordance with t~e plans and specifications heretofore sub-
mitted by the works engineer of 'said city for said work and hereby adopted for said work.
Ail said work and materials used in connection tz~rewith shall be furnis~ed under the
direction and to the satisfaction of the works en.17ineer of said city.
Said city coua~cil hereby ascertains ti~at the general prevailing rates of !mr
diem wages and the genera!~urevailinS rates for legal hcliday a~i o~er~.me~'~ apr~licable~
to said work to be done are as follows:

The rate for any employee not listed in the above schedule shall not be less

The followin~ are to be considered holidays- New Year's Day, Decoration Day
Independence Day, ~abor !>ay, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day,
Saturdays and Sundays.

for doinS said work amd for the furnishing of all materials necessaFy therefor
to be published by two {~) insertions tr~ereof~ and not less ti~an five (5)-'days
apart, in The Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation p~{blis½ed and
printed in the city of South San Fr~cisco, which notice shall be substantially
in the followin~ form:
Notice is hereby given that sealed proposals or bids will be received by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco on Mo~ay the 2nd day of April,
1945· until the hour of 8:00 o~clock p. m. for doing the foll0wirkt public work in
said city~ to-wit:

Said plans show t':~o separate lines, along o~_~e of which said City of South San
Francisco may elect to contract said outfall sewer. The proposal s~eets will provide a
separate bid for each of suc}~ lines of outfall sewer. No proposal will be considered
which does ~aot contain a separate bid for each of said lines of outfal! sewer.
Plans~ specifications and proposal s~-~eets may be obtained at t.i-~e office of
Charles T. orouohton, i~orks E~ineer of the City of South .aah Francisco, in the City Hall
of said city, in South San Francisco, Calil~rnia-.
Sealed proposals or bids will be delivered to t~e City Clerk on or before 8:00
o'clock p. m., on ~onday, tl~e 8nd day of April. o ~
