RESOLUTION CALLING FOR BIDS FOR THUg PURCt~ASE OF A CHEVROLET
CYLINDER DUMP TRUCK FROM THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRA~CISC0.
RESOLVED by the city council of' the city of South San Francisco that public in-
terest and convenience require that said city should sell that certain Chevrolet 6
cylinder dump truck with detached body, Model 1936, which truck bears engine No.
T-5707251 and Serial No. 6RBl1-1741.
Said City council proposes to~ sell said truck to the highest responsible bidder
therefor in c ash. Each bidder will be required to accompany hid bid bM a certified
check, payable to said City of South San Francisco in ten per cent (l~o) of the amount
of his bid. In the event that the suc.~-essful bidder shall fail or neglect to pay the
full amount of his bid in cash for said truck, said certified check shall be forfeited
and paid into the treasury of the city of South San Francisco.
The city clerk is hereby directed to publish by two (2) insertions in "The
Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation published in s aid city, a notice in-
viting sealed proposals for said truck, which notice shall be substantially in the
following form:

THE PURCHASE OF A CHEVROLET 6 CYLINDER DLE~P
TRUCK FROM TtiE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCo.
Sealed proposals or bids will be receivsd by the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco until 8 o'clock p.m., on Monday, t~e 4th day of June, 1945, for the pur-
chase from said City of South San Francisco of that certain Chevrolet 6 cylinder dump
truck, with detached body, bearing engine No. T-570~2§1 and serial No. 6RBll-1741,
for cash.
Said City Council proposes to sell said t~uck to the highest responsible bidder
therefor in c ash. Each bidder will be required to accompany his bid by~ a certified
check, payable to said city of South San Francisco in ten per cent (l~) of the amount
of his bid. In the event that the successful bidder shall fail or neglect to pay
t~e full amount of his bid in cash for said truck, said certified check shall be for-
feited and paid into the treasury of the city of ~outh San Francisco.
All sealed proposals will be opened by the city council in public session on
Monday the Ath day of June, 19~5, at 8 o'clock p. m., inthe council chamber of said
City Council.
The City Council hereby reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
