RESOLUTION 0HDERING WORK AND CLOSING OF SOUTH
INDUSTRIAL WAY
WttEHEAS t~e City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 13th day
of March. 1945, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the following stree~
work to Ge done in said city to-wit:
That the portion of the public street in s aid city, commonly known as South
Industrial Way, for the full length and full width thereof, as hereinafter particularl~
described, be vacated ampi closed up in whole. Said portion of said street consists
of all that certain real property situate in the City of South San Francisco, County
of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the South San Francisco Belt Rail-
way, said point of beginning being north 509.67 feet and west 424.00 feet from a grani~
monument set to mark the corner common to sections 21, 22, 27 and 28, Township 3 South
Range 5 West ~,~ount Diablo Base and ~eridian.
Running tnence from said point of beginning south 21o 31' 56" west 482.15 feet
to a point on the northeasterly line of the California State Highway conEnonly known
as Baysnore Highway; thence along said highway line south 31° 45' 14" east 74.85 feet
to a point thereon, t~ence leaving said last mentioned line, north 21o 31' 56" east
550.66 feet to a point on the above mentioned southerly line of the South San Francisc(
Belt Railway, thence south 89° 55' 28" west on and along said last mentioned line,
64.54 feet to the point of beginning containing 0.Tll acres more or less and being
Parcel ll Zone I of the Official Map of the City of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS said City Council did, in said resolution, declare that no land is ne-
cessary to be taken therefor, ar~ did in said resolution specify the exterior boundari~
of the district of land to be affected and benefited by said work and to be assessed
to pay t~e damages, costs and expenses thereof, to which s aid resolution of intention
now on file in said mattem in the office of the City Clerk of sa~d city reference is
hereby made for further particulars and the same is made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS the Street Superintendent of said City of South San Francisco did, there-
upon cause notice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and published in to~
manner aud~hEn required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being
hereby made further particularly to the affidavit of Norman Hynding, said s~et
superintendent, which affidavit is now on file in said matter in tne office of said
city clerk and is made a part hereof; and
W~EREAS no written objection or protest against said proposed work has at any
time been filed with or received by the said city clerk or said city council at any
time subsequent to the publication of said notice hereinbefore mentioned, and
more than ten (10) days have elapsed after the expiration of the time of publication
of s aid notice of the passage of said resolution; and
WHEREAS the proposed work is for the closing up of said portion of South In-
dustrial Way for the full length thereof, a~ hereinbefore described; and
WHEREAS the city council of said city of South San Francisco has determined
and does hereby determine t~t no assessment is necessary for doing said proposed
work, and that no damage w~l result in closing up said portion of South Industrial
Way,
And be it resolved that said portion of South Industrial Way, as hereinDefore
specifically described, be, and the same hereby is vacated, discontinued, abandoned
and closed up.
i hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the city council of the city of south San Francisco this 21st day of
~lay, 1945, by the following vote:
