RESOLUTION AUTt~0RIZlNG TtiE EXECU£ION OF A QUITCLAIM DEED
TO THE AREA OF LA~D IN T~LE CITY OF SOUI'ti SAN FRANCISCO
FOF~IERLY KNOWN AS SOUTH INDUSTRIAL WAY.
W~tEAS t~ city council of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal cor-
poration in the County of San ~ateo, State of California, did, on the 13th day of
~arcn, 1~45, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the following work
to be done in said city, to-wit:
Tt~t tneportion of t~e public street in said city, commonly known as South
Industrial ¥~ay, fo~ the full length and full width thereof, as hereinafter particul-
arly described,be vacated and closed up in whole, to which said resolution of intentio~
now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city reference is hereby made
for further particulars and tt~e same is made a part hereof; said portion of said
street consists of all that certain property situate in t~e city of South San Francisc(
County of San Mateo, State of California, described as follows:
Beginning at a point on the southerly line of the South San Francisco Belt Rail-
way, said point of beginning being north 509.6~ feet and west 424.00 feet from a
granite monument set to mark t~e corner common to sections 21, 22, 27 and 28 Township
3 South Range 5 West l~'~ount Diablo Base and l~eridian.
Running t~ence from said point of beginniD~ south 21° 31' 56" west 482.15 feet
to a point on the northeasterly line of the California State Highway commonly known
as Bayshore Highway; thence along said higt~way line south 31° 45' 14"~east 74.85 feet
to a point tnereon, thence leaving, said last mentioned line, north 21~ 31~ §6" east
to a point on the above mentioned southerly line of the South San Francisco Belt
Railway, thence south 89° 55' 28" west on and along said last mentioned line 64.54
feet to the point of beginning containing 0.Vll acres mo~e or less and being Barcel

ll Zone I of the Official Nap of the city of South San Francisco; and
WHEREAS the Street Superintendent of said City of South San Francisco t~ereupon caused
notice of the passage of said resolution to be posted and published in the manner and form
required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being hereby made, for
further particulars, to the affidavit of Norman Hyndtng, said street superintendent, which
affidavi is now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said City of South San Fran-
cisco, and is made a part hereof; and
WHEREAS no written objection or protest a~ainst said proposed work or against any
portion thereof, was at any time filed with or received by said City Clerk or said City
Council, at any time subsequent to t~e p,mblication of said notices hereinbefore mentioned;
WHEREAS, after more than ten (10) days had elapsed after the expiration of time of
publication of said notice, said City Council did~ on the 21et day of may, 1.q4§, pass a
resolution wherein said portion of South Industrial Way, as hereinbefore particularly
described, was vacated, discontinued, abandoned and closed up, to which resolution
reference is hereby made and the same is made a part hereof~;
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the city council of the city of So~t~ San Francisco that
the mayor and city clerk be, and ti~ey are hereby authorized, empowered and d~rected in
behalf of said city of South San Francisco~ to execute and deliver to South San Francisco
Land and Improvement Company, a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the
State o~ California, a quitclaim deed to all the right, title and interest of said City
of South San Francisco in and to said portion of South Industrial Way, as hereinbefore
specifically described.
I hereby certi~ that the foregoing resolution was re&~larly introduced and adopted
by the city council of the city of South San Francisco this 21st day of May, 1945, by
the ~ollowing vote:
Ayes, Councilmen V. Boido, M. Ninucciani, G. W. Holston, Charles K. Elder
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilman Ivan M. Hays
