RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETI~NS OF CITY EMPLOYEES'
ELECTION ON RETIRhI..~i~T SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, on the 24th day of July, 1945, the City Council of t~e City of South San
Francisco adopted a certain resolution providing for. an election to b e held to enable
firemen, policemen and employees other than f~memen and policemen to e~q0ress their
approval or disapproval of the form of contract submitted to said city council, pro-
viding for participation in the f~ate Employees' Retirement System; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of said resolution, notice was given to each
of the employees mentioned in said groups; and
WHEREAS said election was held in the office of the City Clerk of said city on the
30th day of July, 1945; and
W~LEREAS the whole number of persons of said groups voting at such special election
are as follows:
Policemen
Firemen
Employees other t~an Policem~or Firemen

AND WiiEREAS all ballots cast at said election have been opened, examined and
declated in the presence of said city council, in open session;
RESOLVED by said city council that said city council determines the results of
said election to be as follows:
Approval
Dis approval
Policemen
Firemen
Employees other than Policemen or Firemen

Said City Council hereby determines that the majority of said policemen have voted
their approval of said proposed contract, and that a majority of said firemen have voted
their approval of said contract, and that a majority of the employees other titan police-
men and firemen have voted tl~eir approval of said contract.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the city council of the city of South San Francisco this 30th day of July, 1.q45, by
the following vote:
