HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1044-1945RESOLUTION NO. 1044 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO CONSOLIDATING ELECTIONS TO BE HELD IN SAID CITY ON THE 31ST DAY OF AUGUST, 1925. RESOLVED by the City Council of' the City of i~outh San Francisco that the election called and to be held on the 31st day of August, 1945, under and pursuant to Ordinance No. 239 of said city entitled: "An ordinance calling a special election in the C~ty of South San Francisco, County of San Nateo, State of 6alifornia, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City of South ~an Francisco, a municipal corporation, five (5) certain propositions to inc~zr a bonded indebtedness to paythe cost of certair~ municipal improvements and acquisitions in and for said city as follows: (1) ~he construction and equipment of a central police station in said City of South San Francisco; (2) The construction and equipment of a central fire department station in said City of South San Francisco; (3) The construction and equipment of three recreation buildings in said City of South San Francisco; (4) The construction of a road to connect Linden Avenue, in said city, with E1 Camimo Real, in said city; (5) The construction of an interceptor sewer and an outfall sewer in the southerly portion of said City of South San Francisco; Reciting the several objects and purposes for which said indebtedness is proposed to be incurrec the estimated cost thereof and the amount of the indebtedness proposed to be incurred therefor; establishing the election precincts and appointing officers of election," which ordinance was adopted by said City Council on the 6th day of August, 1945 and the election to be held on the 31st day of August, 1945, under and pursuant to Resolution No. 1035 of said City Council entitled: "A resolution calling a special election to be held in the City of South S~%n Francisco, County of San Nateo, State of California, on the 31st day of August, 19~5, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said city the proposition whether members of the Police Department, members of the Fire Department and certain other employees of the City of South San Francisco shall enter into an agreement with ~he State of California for the purpose of enabling members of the Police Departn~ent of said city and members of the Fire Department of said city and certain other employees of said city to receive the benefits of the State Employees' Retirement System," which resolution was adopted on the 3Oth day of July, 1945, be, and the same hereby are consolidated as to the time of holding said election and the polling places at which votes in said election may be cast. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution w~s regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of ~outh San Francisco this 22nd day of August, 1945, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen V.
