RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING THE
RESULTS OF A SPECIAL ~UNICiPAL ELECTION }~LD IN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FHAI~ISCO ON AUGUST 31, 1945.
WHEREAS, at a special municipal election held in the City of S~uth San Francisco en Friday, the 31st
day of August, 1945, pursuant te the provisions of Ordinance No. 239 of said City of South San Francisco, the
number of voters voting in each of the precincts in said city hereinafter mentioned, en each of the five (5)
propositions mentioned in said Ordinance No, 239, respectively, and the number of votes cast for and against
each of said propositions, respectively, were as follows:

NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco as follows:
1. That said Proposition No. 1, to-wit, the proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of $75,000.00
in lawful money of the United States of America for the object and purpose of acquiring, constructing and
completing by the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, a central police station and acquiring
the necessaL¥ ?urniture and equipment for the same was, and this City Council hereby finds, determines and
declares that said Proportion No. l, as aforesaid, ~as rejected by the voters voting thereon at said special
municipal election.
2. That said Proposition No. 2, to-wit, the proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of $95,000.00
in lawful money of the United States of America for the object and p~rpose of acquireing, constructing and
completing by said City of South San Frar~cisco, a municipal corporation, a central fire department station
and acquiring the necessary ~urniture and equipment for the same, was, and this City Council hereby finds,
determines and declares that said Proposition No. 2, as aforesaid, has carried and was~ duly accepted by the
votes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters voting thereon at said special municipal election, and
that said Oity of South San Francisco is duly authorized to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco
in the amount ~.nd for said Proposition No. 2 and in the manner in said Ordinance No. 239 set forth and specified.
3. That said Proposition No. 3, to-v~it, the proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of ~.%40,000.00
in la~ul money of the United States of America for the object and purpose of acquiring, constructing and =om-
pleti% three (3) recreation buildings and acquiring the necess'~ry furniture and other equipment for such
recreation buildings was, and this City ~ouncil hereby finds, deter~ines and declares that said Proposition
No. 3, as aforesaid, has carried and was duly accepted by the ~etes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the
voters voting thereon at said special m~nicipal election, and theft said City of South S~ Francisco is duly
authorized to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco in the amount and for said Proposition No. 3
and in the manner in said Ordinance No. 239 set forth and specified.
4. That said Proposition No. 4, to-wit, the proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of $60,000.00
in lawful money of the United States of America for the object and ourpose of acquiring, constructing and
completing a road to connect the southerly portion of Linden Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco,with
E1 Camino Real, in said city was, and this City Council hereby finds, deter~d~es and declar~ theft said
Proposition No. 4, as aforesaid, was rejected by the voters voting thor ~n at said special m~mnicipal election.
5. That said Prop. osition No. 5, to-wit, the proposition to incur a l~nded indebtednes~ of $75,000.00
in lawful n~oney of the United States of America for the object and prupose of acquiring, constructing and
completing an interceptor sewer and an outfall sewer in the southerly portion of said City of South San
Francisco was, and this City Council hereby finds, determines, and declares that said Proposition No. 5, as
aforesaid;has!car,_ed and was duly addepge~ by the votes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters
voting thereon at said special municipal election, and t~hat said City of South San Francisco is duly authorized
to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco in the amount's, nd for said Proposition No. 5 and in the
manner in said Ordinance No. 239 set forth and specified.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced ~nd adopted by the City ~ouncil

in lawful money of the United States of America for the object and purpose of acquiring, constructing and ~om-
pleti~g three (3) recreation buildings and acquiring the necessary furniture and other equipment for such
recreation buildings was, and this City ~ouncil hereby finds, determines and declares that said Proposition
No. 3, as aforesaid, has carried and was duly accepted by the ~otes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the
voters voting thereon at said special mmicipal election, and that said City of South San Francisco is duly
authorized to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco in the amount and for said Proposition No. 3
and in the manner in said Ordinance No. 239 set forth and specified.
