~,~,~NICIPAL ELECTION HETD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO ~N
AUGUST 31, 1945.
WtJ~ERFAS a special municipal election was held in and through the City of .South San Francisco on the
31st day of August, 1945, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of said city a porposition
whether an o~tinance entitled: "An ordinance of the City of South San Francisco authorizing a contract
between the City of ~outh San Francisco and the Board of Administration, California State Employees' Retirement
System, providing for the participation of said city in said State Employees' Retirement System, and making
these employees members of said system", shall be adopted.
The resolution calling said special election w:~s adopted by the City ~ouncm! of the City of South
San Francisco on the 30th day of July, 19~$5.
And V~HERK~S the City Clerk of said city has duly presented' to the City Council of the City of South
San Frao~isco all the returns of the votes cast at said special election; and
¥~qEREAS said City Council has inspected and examined all said returns;
NOr, TH~FORE, resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council
-~inds as follows:
The whole number of votes casZ in ~aid City of .South ~an Francisco at said special election is

The votes cast for and against said pr0posi~ions in the several precincts of said City of South S~n
Francisco are as follows:
The nu~ber of voters voting and th~ whole number of votes cast in Precinct A were 232 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 190 were east in favor of said proposition and 42 were cast against ~Aid
porpositi on.
The number of voters voting ~nd the whole number of votes cast in Precinct B were 121 ; and that
of said whole number of ,votes, lll were cast in favor of said proposition and lO were case against said
proposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct C were 206 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 147 were cast in favor of said proposition and 59 were cast against said
proposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct D were 154 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 123 were cast in favor of said proposition and 31 were cast against said
porposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct E were ~87 ; and that
of said ~ole number of votes, 125 were cast in favor of said proposition and 62 were cast against said
proposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct F were 160 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 120 were cast in favor of said proposition and ~0 were cast against said
proposition.
The ntunber of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct G were 156 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, ll6 were cast in favor of said proposition and ~0 were cast against said
proposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct H were 198 ; and that
of said whole mmmber of votes, ll8 were cast in favor of said proposition and 89 were cast against said
proposition.
The n~mber of voters voting and the v&ole number of votes cast in Precinct I were 76 ; and that
of said whole mnnber of votes, 54 were cast in favor of said proposition and 22 were case against aa~d
proposition.
The nmaber of voters '~oting And the whole Aumber of votes cast in Precinct J were 53 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 40 were cast in favor of said proposition and 15 were cast against said
proposition.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct K were 103 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 85 were cast in favor of said proposition and 18 were cast against said
porpositio n.
The number of voters voting and thw whole number of votes cast in Precinct L were 12~ ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 82 were ca~t in favor of said proposition and 42 were cast against said
proposi~io n.

proposition.

of said whole number of votes, 120 were cast in favor of said proposition and ~0 were cast against said
proposition.

porpositio n.
The number of voters voting and the whole number of votes cast in Precinct L were 122 ; and that
of said whole number of votes, 82 were ca~t in favor of said proposition and 22 were cast against ~aid
propo$i ti o n.

Said proposition received a majority of the votes cast thereon and was carried.
Said City Council her*by determines that said ordinance became effective on the 1st day of
September, lP25.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 6th day of September, 1~2~, by the following vote:
