HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1053-1945RESOLUT!O~ NO. 1053 RESOLVF~ by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city proposes to cause a portion of Second Lane, between the westerly line of Orange Avenue and the easterly line of Eucalyptus Avenue, in said city, to be improved as follow~: GradinE for pavement, construction of two (2) red burnt br~ck ~anholes, capped with cast iron frames and covers and a Portland cement coucrete pavement five (5) inches in thickness. Reference is hereby made to the plans and specifications for said work for a description of said work and for all particulars relative thereto, which plans and specifications are now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said ci~ and are open to inspection. Said City ~ounczl hereby defines the boundary and exten~ of the district or land to be specially assessed to pay the costs of said proposed i~Drovement as follows: All that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and des- cribed as Tollows: Block n~ubered eighty-two (82), as shown upon that certain map entitled: "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co. Cal. Plat No. l", w~ich map w~s filed in the office of the County Recorder o£ the County of ~an ~..~teo, California., }~rch 1, 1892, and recorded im Map Book No. 2 at page ~2, s~ving, ex- cepting and excluding from .said district all public streets, avenues, alleys, lanes, courts and places included and contained. Sai~ City Council hereby determines thnt no part of the cost of said improvement shall be paid from~ny source other than special assessment upon benefited property. Said City Council hereby determines that said improvement shall be constructed under proceedings taken purusant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at the rate o[~ five (~) per cent per annum will be issued in the manner provided by Division l0 of the Streets of Highways Code, in the Improvement Bond Act of 191~, the last installment of which bonds will mature nine (9) years from the second day of July next preceding ten (lC) months from their date. The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail prepaid postcards giving notice of the findings of sa~d City Council and its proposed action. Each such notice shall have attached thereto an addressed prepaid postcard with the return post~ge thereon guaranteed. Such cards shall be mailed to each person tovhom land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized county assessment roll at his address as shown upon sAi~ roll and to any person, whether owner in fee or having a l_~en or legal or equitable interest ~ n sadd land within said proposed district, who has filed with said City Clerk his name and address and the designation of the land in which he is interested. The notice, herein directed to 0e mailed b~ said City Clerk, shall be substantially in the form (filling ~ n the blanks) provided in Section 29~1 of the Streets and Highways Code, said section being a part of the act knovm as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Ymjority Protest Act of 1931, and the return postaard %vhall comply with the provisions of said Section 29~1.
