RESOLVED by the ~ity Council of the City of South San F ancisco that public interest and conveniene recB~ire that said city purchase an air compressor for use by said city. ~e City Clerk is hereby directed to publish, by two (2) insertions in The South San Francisco Journal, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of South San Francisco, a notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for fur- ni~hing such air compressor, in substantially £he following mann~r: NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR FUR- NISHING AN AIR COMPRESSOR TO THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Sealed proposals will be received by the City of South San Francisco until 8 o'clock P.M., on Monday, the 1st day of October, 1945, for furnis~hing to said city an air compressor. Such air compressor shall comply with the following requirements: One (1) 60 cubic: foot 3 cylinder 2-stage air cooled air compressor, powered with separate h cylinder radiator cooled engine, not less tha~ 22 H.P. at approximately 122~ r.p.m., with elect~i~ starter and battery. Air receiver to have capacity of not less than 3~- cubic feet, ~.th fuel tank capacity not less than 12 gallons, and shall have an int~rcooler equipped with a~tomatic draining feature, and shall be complete with built-in tool boxes with hinged non-detachable doors', The engine and compressor shall be force feed lubricated and be mounted on spring ~railer with pneumatic tires and have telescopic tow bar. The air receiver shall be equipped with air outlet shut-off valve. The following ecj~ipment shall also be furnished with said air com- pressor: One (1) medium weight paving breaker with moil point chisel, l~" under collar and one rock breaker; two ~0' lengths 3/h" oil resistant air hose fitted with quick-change couplings connecting the twoa~oses to the air receiver outlet valve and paving breaker; and one air nozzle for blowing dust and dirt out of cracks in street~. Ali. sealed proposals or bids will be opened by said City Council in public session on Monday, the 1st day of October, 1945, at 8 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chamber of said City Council.
