RESOLUTION OF AWARD
WH~2~AS the City Council of the City of South :~an Francisco did, in open session, on the 5th day
of Nov~nber , 1945, publicy open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the sewer
construction work hereinafter described, which sewer work consists of the construction of a 15 inch con-
crete pipe storm water sewer, from the intersection of Laurel Avenue with Baden Avenue, in the City of
South ~an Francisco, Southerly along the Easterly line of Lot Twenty-nine (29), Block Seventy-nine (79),
to the Northerly line of Second Lane; thence Southerly across Second Lane to the Southerly line thereof:
then=e Southerly and across Lot ~elve (12), in said Block Seventy-Nine (79) to the Northerly gutter line
of Commercial Avenue, all as shown upon that certain ma~ entitled.' "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co.
Cal. Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office cf the County Recorder of the County of San Marco,
California, March 1, 1892, and recorded in Map Book No. 2 at page 52, together with three (3)brick catch
basins with cast iron frames and covers;
RESOLVED that said City Co~n~cil hereby rejects all said proposals or bids, except that next
hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work to the lowest responsible
bidder, to-wit: McGuire and Hester , at the price named in their bid, to-wit:

Approximately 34 lineal feet of ~12" concrete pipe storm sewer, $3.00 per lineal foot;
Approximately 327 lineal feet of 15" concrete pipe storm sewer, $3.40 per lineal foot:
3 Brick catch basins with cast iron cover and throat, $125.00 each.
All said work shall be done at the location shown upon the plans hereinafter mentioned and
strictly in accordance ~ith the plans and specifications heretofore submitted by the Works Engineer of
said city ~ r said work and ~ereby adopted for said work. All said work and the materials used in con-
nection therewith shall be furnished under the direction and to the satisfaction of the Works Engineer
of said city.
The contract for said work shall be entered into and said work will be performed in strict
accordance with the provisions of that notice entitled~ "Notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for
the construction of a storm water sewer in Block 79, Map of South San Francisco Plat No. l, South San
Francisco, California," which notice forms a part of the resolution adopted 'tV said City Council to
order said work on the 15th day of October, 1945.
The Mayor of sadd city and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed in the name of sai~
city md under its seal, te execute the contract herein authorized.
I hereby certify that th~ foregoing reso~.ution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of ~uth San Francisco this 5th day of November, 1945, by the following vote:
