iTr~ereas the central police station, now housed in the 'City Hall iSuilding of the
City of South San Francisco, is by reason of the increase of po?,ulat~ on of said city and the
consequent need for police service, inadequate to meet the requrements of sai,~, city at the
present time;
Resolved by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council
does hereby determine that '~ublic interest and necessity demsnd ti".e acqum~it:on, constructiom
and completion by said City-of ~outh San ~:rancisco, a municipal corporation, of a central po-
lice station and the acquisition of the necessary furniture and equipment for the same; that
said imt-:~rovement is convenient ~mad necessary to carry out the objects, ~ourposes ~ ~
said city; that the estimated cost of said improvement, to.sether with the necessary equipment
for said central police station is One Hundred and Twenty-five Thousand Dollars (~1~8,000.00),
and that the cost of said improvement and said equipment is and will be too great to be paid
out of tae orc]inary annual income and revenue of said City of South S~.n Francisco, and will,
in addition to t~-~e other expend:'..tures of said City of South ~an ~'rancisco, exceed tJ:~e in-
come for any one year·
I hereby certify that the foregoing ~esolution was introduce'd and ado'oted at a
regular meeting of t~e City Council of the City of South San Francisco this l~th day of
