W,~IEiLEAS, on the 4th day of March, 194'5, t!-'~re was introduced before the City Council of the City of South San Francisco an ordinance entitled: "An ordinance calling a special election in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, for the purpose of submitting to the qualified electors of the City of South San Francisco, a municipal corporation, a certain proposition to incur a bonded indebtedness to pay tke cost of a certain municipal improvement and acquisition in and for said city as follows: The construction and equipment of a central poli'ce station, in s~:~id City of South San Francisco; Reciting the several objects and purposes for which said indebtedness is proposed to be incurred; the estimated cost tl~ereof and the amount of the indebtedness proposed to be incurred therefor; establishing the election precincts and appointing officers of election"; and IqlTEREAS it has been formal necessary to provide a different polling place from that provided for in Section VI of said ordinance for Voting Precinct ..:~, RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said Section o ~ the same hereby is amended so VI of said form of ordinance, introduced as aforesaid, be, that said Section VI, as amended, shall read as follows: Section VI. It is further ordained that the manner of holdin~~ said special election ~nd of voting thereat for and against said proposition of incurring said indebtedness~ shall be as provided in this ordinance and that in all particular? not recited he'rein such special election shall be held as provided for by law for holding municipal elections in said City of South San Francisco, and t!mat in all particulars not recited herein and not provided for by law for holding such municipal elections, the general election laws of the State of Calif- ornia, so far as the same may be applicable, shall apply; Tt~t, for the purpose of said special election, said City of South San Frsncisc. o has been divided and now is divided into thirteen (13) election ~recincts to be known as Voting Precinct A, Voting Precinct B, Voting Precinct C, Voting Precinct D, Voting Precinct E, Voting Precinct.F, Voting Precinct G, ~fotin.z Precinct H, Voting Precinct I, Vot' tno i~re- tinct J, Voting Precinct K, Voting Precinct L, and. O. Thomas' garage at ~,i'o. 1Z~ Knoll Circle, in said city. Votin~i~ Precinct M sh~!l include all the territory described in South San Fran- cisco Precinct No. 18, as established by said resolution of the Board of Supervisors of said County of San Mateo, and the Dolling place for said VotinS Precinct M shall be in Dietsche's garage at }~o. 108 Claremont Avenue, in said city. At said special election, the polls shall be open at seven o'clock of the morning of such election and shall be kept open until seven o' clock in the afternoon of tke same day, when the said polls shall be closed. In said South San Francisco municipal election precincts, the polls shall be held at ti'~e places and the election conducted as aforesaid by said inspectors, judges and clerks, respectively, hereinafter named as follows, to-wit: In said Voting Precinct A the inspector stroll be Lena Forbes, the judge shall be Kate Maynard and th~ clerks shall be Mary E. Dinning and Ida R. Goldner. In said Voting Precinct B the inspector shall be Vey Ferron, the judge shall be Rena Ringue and tt~ clerks Si~all~ be Marie Imprecia and Elsie Dotson. In said Voting Precinct C the inspector shall be Lucetta I{ardy, the judge shall be Maud Hunter and the clerks shall be Y, ary Knock and Emma Robinson· In said Voting Precinct D the inspector s~all be Clara Rowe, the judge shall be Abbie Fox and the clerks shall be Amelia Perazzo and ~ay Spindler. In said Voting Precinct E the inspector stroll be Helen Siebecker, the judge shall be Anita Zucco, and the clerks shall b e Dora McCarn and Fr~oda Troy. In said V~ting Precinct K the inspector s~all be Nellie Agresti, the judge shall be Anita Perry and the clerks shall be Norma Gu~lielmetti and Louise Gotelli. In said Voting Precinct L the inspector shall be Ethel ~. Herman, the judge shall be Betty Dolwig and the clerks shall be Readette Franklin and Bessie E. Carlyle. In said Voting Precinct M the inspector shall be Anna H. Sendner, the judge shall be Mary Bloomer and the clerks slmll be Julia Dietsche and Frances N. Dhurcn. Said polling places above designated have been found and are hereby determined to be suitable and proper places for holding such special election, and said several persons above designated as members of the respective boar'ds of election have been found and a~e he~e- by determined to be qualified for said respective positions on said boards of election, as re- quired by law, and they shall and will be and are hereby appointed as such officers to conduct such and said elect~on and constitute said boards of election, and said boards of election and said officers shall conduct and are hereby directed to conduct said election as by law and this ordinance provided and to canvass the votes j~iven and cast at said special election and to m~dce and deliver returns thereof in accordance with the provisions of this ordinance and of law and said City Council of the City of South San Francisco shall meet amd canvass said re~ turns when received and declare the result of said special election in the manner !~orovided for by law.
