and W~'~ItEAS each of said Propositi~ns I[o. 2, No. 3 and No. 5 has been duly accel, ted by the qualified voters of said City of South San Francisco and said City of South San Francisco has been, and now is, authorized and empowered to incur the aforesaid bonded in- debtedness mentioned in each of said Propositions I[o. ~, !fo. 3 and ~o. 5 ~nd the ',.vi~ole thereof; and W±~Ei~EAS it is provided in said Ordinance No. ~39 tibet: if at said special election two-thirds (~/3) of all the voters voting at said special ~lection vote in favor of in- curring said bonded indebtedness of ~'orty Thousana Dollars (i[;40,000.00) for 'the purpose stated in said Proposition No. 3, in Section VIII of said ordinance numbered 239, bonds shall be authorized to be issued in the amount of forty Thousand Dollars (ii~40,000.00) for tt~e purpose aforesaid; and WHEREAS it is i:rovided -~.n said Ordinance No. 239 that, if at said special election two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters voting at said special election vote in favor of in- curring said bonded indebtedness of Seventy-five T]:o~sm~d Dollars (.~7~,000.00) for t~e pur- or.~_~nance numbered 239, pose stated in said P~oposition No. 5, in Section VIII of said ±house.nd Dollars 'bonds shall be authorized to be issued in the amount of Seventy-five (¢V5,000.00) for ti~e purpose aforesaid; and WrfEREAS it was provided in said Ordinance 15o. ~39 that safd ilo~ds shall be paid for as hereinafter provided, to-wit: The bouds authorized to be issued pursuant to said election shall bear interest from date of their issuance until paid at the rate of interest which shall be determined when they will be offered for sale, said interest to be payable semi-annually, and the p?in- cipal and interest of said beads shall be payab].e in lavzful money of the United States of America in t~e follov~ing manner, that is to say: One-twentieth (1/20) 'part of the ~?~hole amount of the principal of said indebtedness stated under any one (1), or any two (2), or any three (3), or any four (4) or all five ($) propositions set forth in subdivisions (a), (b), (c), (d) and (e) of.Section VIII of said Ordinance ~(o. 2~9 shall be paid each and every year at tt~_e city treasury of said City of South San Francisco on -the day or date to be fixed by the legislative branch of said municipality, together with interest on all s~uus unpaid at such date, previewed that the interest on such i~onds shall be paid semi-a~:nual!y so that there shall be a payment of interest on all s,tuus then unpaid each and eve~.y half year, one of such semi-annual pa~aents being at the date of the paument of ti~e annual in- stallment of the principal of such indebtedness, as aforesaid; and WHEREAS it was furt±~er provided in said Ordinance i,~o. 239 that such interest shall be evidenced by the proper coupons attached to said bonds, a separate coupon be- ing attached to each bond for each semi-annual payment of the interest to become due on such bonds; and that the total indebtedness authorized to be created at said special election shall be represented by bonds payable in ~he manner aforesaid, and that such bonds shall be issued in such denominations as the legislative branch of said City of South San Francisco may determine, except that no bond shall be of a less denomin~ation than One Hundred ~ollars ($100.00), nor of a greater denomination than One Thousand Dollars (~1000.00) and that said bonds ~b~ ~ ~ ............ - in said Proposition No. 2, in Section VIi! of said ordinance nzumbered 239, bonds shall be authorized to be mssued in the ar~ou~t of l~inety-¢-~ve 2housanc_ Dollars (9.~.,000 00) for ti~e purpose aforesaid; and ~¥HEREAS it is provided in said Ordinance No. 239 that, if at said special election two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters voting at said special election vote in favor of cutting said bonded indebtedness of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars (~75,000.00) for t~e pur- pose stated in said Pz~oposition No. 5, in Section VIII of said ordinance numbered 239, bonds shall be authorized to 'be issued in the amount of Seventy-five Thousand Dollars (~ ~-~ ~-~,000.00) for the p~rpose afore said;
