A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY
O~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH
SAN FRANCISCO DECLARING
INTENTION TO DO CERTAIN PUlL
LIC IMPROVEMENT WORK IN THE
CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
IN THE SUBDIVISION KNOWN AS
BRENTWOOD SUBDIVISION NO.
WHER~S public interest and
~nvenien~e require that the work
~nd improvements hereinafter de--
scribed should be done; and
V~IEREAS, in the opinion of the
City Council of the City of ~outh
~an Francisco. said contempiated
work and improvement is, and is
hereby declared to be of more than
local or ordinary public benefit; and
WHEREAS Jesse Horn an
Myrtle Horn, his wife, Henry Horn
and Llilian Horn, his wife, Perry
Llebman and Ysabel Liebman, his
wife, Ira S. Kohn and R~uth N. Kohn,
his wife, and Lloyd S. Cosgrove and
Anne V. ~osgrove, his wife, as own-
ers of all that certain tract of land
delim~atecl upon that certain map
entitled: "Brentwc~d Subdivision
No. 2, South San Francisco ~an
~o County, California," which map
was filed in the office of the County
Recorder of the County of San Ma-
teo, State of California, May 9. 1946,
and re~orded in ~k 25 of Maps at
pages 50 and 51, have filed with the
City Clerk of said city an instru-
ment in writing reading as follows:

his wife, as owners of all that cer-
tain tract of land delineated upon
that certain map entitled: "Brent-
wood Subdivision No. 2, South San
Francisco San Mateo County, Cali-
fornia,'' which map was filed in the
office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Maf~o, State of Cali-
fornia, May 9, 1946, and recorded
in Book 25 of Maps at pages 50 and
51, hereby waive the benefit of that
certain act of the Legislature of the
State of California known and des-
ignated as "Special Assessment In-
vestigation, Limitation and Majority
Protest Act of 1931," with respect
to all the improvements hereinafter
mentioned.
Said improvements are designated
as follows:
The construction of vitrified clay
salt-glazed pipe sanitary sewers,
with manholes, concrete pipe storm
sewers, with manholes and catch
basins, the construction of cement
concrete curbs, gutters and side-
walks and the construction of a 5
inch waterbound macadam base
pavement with 2~ inch asphaltic
concrete wearing surface in North*
wood Drive, Kenwood Way. Moss-
wood Way, Pinehurst Way, May-
wood Way, Springwood Way, Aptos
Way, Hazelwood Drive, Wildwood
Drive, Brentwood Drive, A Street,
Block 17 which was dedicated
to the City of South San Fran-
book 25 of Maps at pages 50 and
51; running thence from said point
of beginning South 59 degrees 23
minutes 12 seconds West, 60 feet.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF said

AND WHEREAS an estimate of
the cost and expense of said work
has been filed with the City Clerk
of said city;
NOW, THEREFORE, resolved by
the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco that it is the inten-
tion of said City Council to order
the following work and improve-
ments to be done in said city, to-
wit:
The construction of vitrified clay
salt-glazed pipe sanitary sewers,
salt-glazed pipe sanitary sewers, with
manholes, concrete pipe storm sew-
ers, with manholes and catch basins,
the construction of cement concrete
curbs, .gutters and sidewalks and
the construction of a 5 inch water-
bound macadam base pavement
with 2¥~ inch asphaltic concrete
wearing surface in Northwood Drive,
Kenwood Way, Mosswood Way,
Pinehurst Way, Maywood Way,
Springwood Way, Aptos Way, Hazel-
wood Drive, Wildwood Drive. Brent-
wood Drive, A Street, Block 17,
which was dedicated to the City of
South San Francisco as an automo-
bile parking area. and those two
parcels of land adjoining Blocks 17
and 18, designated "reserved for fu-
ture highway," and the construc-
tion of concrete pipe storm water
sewer, with catch basins and ap-
purtenances, in that certain strip
of land described as follows:
A strip of land' 10 feet in width,
lying 5 feet on each side of the fol-
lowing described center line:
Beginning at a point in the end
of Wildwood Drive, which said point
bears North 30 degrees 36 minutes
48 seconds west 28 feet from the
northwesterly corner of Lot 9 in
Block 11, as said Wildwood Drive,
lot and block are designated on thst
certain map entitled: "Brentwood
Subdivision No. 2 South San Fran-
cisco San Mateo County, California."
which map was filed in the office of
the County Recorder of the County
of San Mateo, State of California,
May 9, 1946, and recorded in Book
25 of Maps at pages 50 and 51; run-
ning thence from said point of be-
ginning South 59 degrees 23 min-
utes 12 seconds West. 60 feet.
Ail the work herein provided for
shall be done in accordance with
the special plans, profiles and speci-
fications for said work, and at the
location and to the grades shown
upon said plans, whcih plans pro-

County of San Mateo, State of Call-
fornia. May 9, 1946, and recorded in
profiles and specifications were here-
tofore adopted by said .City Council
on the 17th day of June, 1946, and
are now on file in the office of the
City Clerk.
Reference is hereby made to said
plans, profiles and specifications for
a full description of said work and
for the location and the extent of
the work to be done hereunder and
for the grades to which said work is
to be done, and for a particular de-
scription of the boundaries of the
district herein mentioned.
Said City Council does hereby de-
termine and declare that said pro-
posed work and improvement is of
more than local or ordinary public
benefit and will affect and benefit
the lands and district hereinafter
described, which said district is
hereby declared to be the district
benefited by said work and im-
provements and that, therefore, the
entire cost and expense of said work
and improvement shall be and here-
by are made chargeable against and
shall be assessed upon said lands
and district, except as hereinafter
expressly provided, which district is
within the City of South San Fran-
cisco, County of San Mateo, State
of California, and particularly de-
scribed as follows, to-wit:
The exterior boundary of all that
certain tract of land delineated up-
on that certain map entitled:
"Brentwood Subdivision No. 2 South
San Francisco San Mateo County,
California," which map was filed
in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of San Mateo, State
of California, on May 9, 1946, and
recorded on map 25 on pages 50
and 51, saving, excepting and ex-
cluding from said district all public
streets, avenues and alleys, lanes,
courts and places included and con-
tained.
Notice is hereby given that serial
bonds to represent unpaid assess-
ments, and to bear interest at the
rate of five (5) per cent per annum,
will be issued hereunder in the
manner provided by Division 10 of
the Streets and Highways Code, in
the Improvement Bond Act of 1915,
and the last installment of such
bonds shall mature fourteen (14)
years from the second day of July,
next succeeding ten (10) months
from their date.
The South San Francisco Journal,
a newspaper of general circulation,
printed and published in said City
of South San Francisco, is hereby
designated as the newspaper in
which this resolution of intention
shall be published, and the City
Clerk is hereby directed to cause
this resolution to be published by
two (2) insertions in the manner
and form required by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to
mail a notice of the adoption of said
resolution of intention, postage pre-
paid, to all persons owning real pro-
perry which is proposed to be as-
sessed to pay any part of the cost of
said work, whose names and add-
resses appear on the last equalized
assessment roll, or as known to
said City Clerk.
The Superintendent of Streets
shall cause to be conspicuously
posted along the line of said con-
templated work or improvements,
and not more than three hundred
(300) feet in distance apart, but
not less than three (3) in all. and
along all the open streets within
said district at not more than three
hundred (300) feet in distance
apart on each said street, notices
of the passage of this resolution of
intention, in the manner and form
required by the "Improvement Act
of 1911."
Notice is hereby given that, on
Monday, the 15th day of July, 1946,
at the hour of .8 o'clock p. m., in
the Council Chamber of said City
Council of the City of South San
Francisco, any and all persons hav-
lng any objections to the proposed
work and improvements may ap-
pear before said City Council and
show cause why said proposed work
and improvements should not be
carried out in accordance with this
resolution.
Except as hereinbefore provided,
all of the herein proposed work shall
be done pursuant to an act of the
Legislature of the State of Califor-
nia designated as "Improvement
Act of 1911."
I hereby certify that the forego-
ing resolution was regularly intro-
duced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San
Francisco. this 17th day of June,
1946, by the following vote:
