CONDEMNATION RESOLUTION
RESOLVED by the City council of the City of South San Francisco t~at said City
Council finds and determines and hereby declares that:
The puOlic interest and necessity require the acquiSition, constx-mction and
completion by the City of Soutn San Francisco of a building for the purposes of the
fire department of said, city; the public interest and ~e~essity require the acquisition
for said purposes of the real property ~ereinafter described;
Resolved furtner that said City of South San Francisco acquire tne real property
hereinafter described by condemnation in accordance with the prowisions of the Code of
Civil Procedure and the ~onstitution of the State of California relating to eminent domain,
and prepare and prosecute, in the name of the People of the State of California, such pro-
ceeding or proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and for the
County of San Mateo, as are necessary for such acquisition; t~at said city make application
to said Superior Cou~t for an order fixing the amount of such security, in the way of money
deposits as said court may direct, and for an order permitting said City of South San Fran-
cisco to take immediate possession and use of said real property, for the purpose of con-
st~ucting and maintaining thereon a building for the fire department of said city; that
said city deposit such security, out of~proper funds under the control of said city, in
such amount, so fixed and determined, and in sucn manner as said Superior Court may direct.
The real property which said City of South San Francisco determines to acquire
fop said public use is situate in t~ .Ci.ty of South San FrancisCo, county of San Marco,
State of California, and described as follows:
Beginning at a point marking tne intersection ~of the southweSterly line of
Baden Avenue and the southeasterly line of Cypress Avenue, said point being the most
northerly corner of Lot 12 in Block 145 as said avenues, lot, and block are designated
on t~at certain.map entitled "South San Francisco San Mateo Co. Cal. Plat No. l" which
map was filed for record in the' Office of the Recorder of the County .of San Mateo,
State of California, Marc~ l, 1892, Book 2 of Maps, Page 52 thereof. Running thence
from said point of beginning South V4° 27' East along said line of' Baden Avenue 50
feet to a point thereon; thence leaving said last mentioned line South 15° 33' West
140 feet; thence North V4° 2V' West 66.44 feet to t~e southeasterly line of Cypress
Avenue above mentioned; thence North 22° 14' 50" East along said last mentioned llne
140.~95 feet to the point of beginning.
Being. a portion of Lots. V, 8, 9, 10, 11 and lB in Block 145 of the above
mentioned map.
The City AttOrney is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file a
complaint in eminent domain for the purpose of acquiring said land, and to do all such
othep things as may be necessary to carry into effect the purposes of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San FranciSco, this 5th day of July,
1~6, by the following vote:
