HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1136-1946 RESOLUTION NO. 11~6 RESOLUTI ON O~ AWARD WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session on the 19th day of August, 1946, publicly o~en, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing all improvement work described in resolution of intent- ion No. 1126 entitled: UA resolution of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco declaring its intention to do certain public Improve~nt work in the City of South San Francisco in the subdivision known as Mayfair Village, Map No. 2", which resolution of intention was adopted by said City Council on the 1st d~y of July, 1946, to which resolution of intention reference is hereby made for a description for said work and the assessment district in said resolution of intention described; Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and to bear interest at the rate of five (5) per cent per annum will be issued here- under in the manner provided by Division 10 of the Streets and Highways Code, in the' Improvement Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds will mature fourteen (14) years from the 2d day of July, next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. Except as hereinbefore provided, all the hereinbefore mentioned work shal 1 be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California desigr~ted as "Improvement Act of 1911", approved April 7, 1911, and the amendments thereto. RESOLVED that the City Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids, except that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder, to wit: L. C. SMITH, at the prices named in bid, to wit: Item 1. Item 2. Item 8. Item 4. Item 5. Item 6. Item 7. Item 8. Grading, $ .015 per square foot; eight inch diameter sewers, $1.60 per lineal foot; four inch sewers, $1.00 per lineal foot; four inch b~ eight inch Y branches, $2.40 each; four inch 1/8 bends $1.33 each; brick manholes with case iron frames and covers, $125.00 each; twelve inch concrete pipe storm sewer, $9.00 per lineal foot; brick catch basins with cast iron cover and throat, $125.00 each; Item 9. suburban type curb, gutter and four-foot wide sidewalk, $1.61 per lineal foot; Item 10. curb, gutter and four-foot wide sidewalk, $1.V1 per lineal foot; Item ll. five inch waterbound macadam base pavement with two and one-half inch asphaltic concrete wearing surface, $ .1530 per square foot. The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of this award conspicuously for five (5) days on or near the council chamber door of this council, and also to publish said notice by two (2) insertions in "The Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation published and circulated in said City~of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 19th day of August, 1948, by hhe following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Geo.
