HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1147-1946 RESOLUTION NO. 1147 RESOLUTION OF SAID CITY PROPOSE I~PROVE~./~ENTS TO A PORTION OF SECOND LANE RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city proposes to cause a portion of Second Lane, between the westerly line of Orange Avenue and the easterly line of Eucalyptus Avenue, in said city, to be improved as follows: Grading for pavement and the construction of a cement concrete pavement five (5) inches in thickness. Reference is hereby made to tt~e plans and specifications for said work for a description of said work and for all particulars relative thereto, which plans and specifications are now on file the office of the City Clerk of said city and are open to inspection. Said City Council hereby defines the boundary and extent of the district or land to be specially assessed to pay the costs of said proposed improvement as follows: Ail that certain tract parcel of land situate in the City of South S~n ~rancisco, County of San ~ateo, State of California, and described as follows: Block numbered Eighty-two (82) as shown upon that certain map entitled; "SOUTH SAN FRA!fC[SCO SAN ~..A'iEO CO. CAL. PLAT i?.0. ~", which map was filed in the Office of the County Recorder of the County of San ~,;ateo, California, ~,iarch l, 1892, an~ recorded in ~iap Book No. 2 at page 52, savin~ excepting snd excluding fro~ said district all public streets, avenues, alleys, lanes, courts and places included and contained. Said City Council hereby determines that no part of the cost of said improvement shall be paid from any source other than special assessment upon. benefited property. Said City Council hereby determines that said improvement~shall be constructed under proceedings taken pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 and that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and bear interest at t~.~e rate o~ five per cent (5~) per annum will be issued in the manner provided by Division l0 of the Streets and ~ighways Code, in the I~provement Bond Act of 191~, the last install~ent of which bonds will mature nine (9) years from th~ ~d day of July next preceeding ten (10) months from their date. The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail prepaid postcards giving notice of the findings of said City Council and its proposed action. Each such not~ce shall have attached thereto an addressed prepaid postcard ~ith the return postage thereon guaranteed. Such cards shall be mailed to each person to whom land in the proposed assessment district is assessed on the last equalized county assessment roll at his address as shown upon saiO roll and to any person, whet_?~er owner in fee or h~ving a lien or legal or eq~itaole interest in said land within said proposed district, who bas file~ with said City' Clerk his name and address and the designation of the la~d in which he is interested. The notice, herein directed to be ~ailed by said Cit~~ Clerk, shall be substantially in the form (f'illing in the blanks) provided in Sect~on ~951 of the Streets and Highways Code, said section being a part of the act known as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and ~'iajority Prote~ Act of l~$1, and the return postcard shall comply with the provisions of said Section ~.981. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meeting of the Cits. Council of the City of South San Francisco, held on the l~th day of October, 19~6, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen, Noes, Councilmen, Absent, Councilmen Chas. K.
