REQUEST FOR ACQUISITION AID FOR ACQUIRING
FIRE SITE

WHEREAS, the State of California under Capter 4V, Statutes of 1944 (4th Extra Session)
has appropriated funds for allotment to provide financial assistance to Local Agencies
defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties for the pnrpose of defraying
not to exceed'one-half the cost of acquiring ri~jats-of-way or sites for public works
projects determined to be desirable in postwar public works programs of such Local
Agencies; and
WHEREAS, The City of South San Francisco hereinafter designated as "Local Agency", desired
to submit its reques for State~ aid in the acquisition of a right-of-~way or site under said
Act; and
3. W~[EREAS, a request to the ~ostwar Public Norks Review Board for such aid has been prepared
and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration; and
4. ~tEREAS, Local Agency has made provisions for paying one-half or more of the cost of such
acquisi ti. on;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT.~.RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid request for acquisition
aid to the 'ostwar ~ublic ?~'orks Review Oorad for the State's share Of the cost of such
acquisition; and
BE IT FURTt{ER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby certifies that the total estimated cost
to be paid for the acquisition of the right-of-way or site for which it is requesting aid
under said Act is Fifteen thousand, three hundred, fifty and V5/100 Dollars (f$15,350.V5;
and
BE IT i~JRTHER RESOLVED, that Local Agency hereby requests the State to pay the State's
share of the total cost to be paid for the acquisition for which Local Agency is requesting
aid;
BE IT FURT~ER RESOLVED, that for the purpose of this request Daniel J. Hyland, City Clerk,
City Hall, South San Francisco, be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent of
Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the herein mentioned request
on behalf of Local Agency and to submit the. same to the ~ostwar Public iVorks Y~eview Board
to~ether with a certified statement of the' total cost to be paid for the acquisition of
the herein mentioned right-of-way or site and such other information as may be required;
and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of Local
Agency to conduct all negotations and conclude all arrangements, including submission
to the Director of Finance of applications for payment, which may be necessary to secure
payment of the State's share of the cost of the acquisition of the aforementioned right-of-
way or site.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
by the City Council of the City of South San £rancisco this 6th day of January, 1947 by the
following vote~
