RESOLUTION NO. 1176

TO ENTER INTO AGREE~ENT V~ITH HAHN, CA~PBELL
AND ASSOCIATES FOR PLAENING SURVEY
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city enter
into an agreement with Walter Hahn, Jr.L and James hi. Campbell as co-partners doing business
under the firm name and style of Hahn, ~ampbell and Ass~ciates~ s
wherein aid co-partners shall
agree to prepare for and furnish to said city the ~'and Use flan in map form indicating the preseRt
use of each parcel of land in said city, a tabulation of the area in each use classification as
a percentage of the total developed area in said city; the Land 'Use Plan in map form developed
to serve as a guide for adoption of a new zoning ordinance. Said last mentioned ~lan shall be
based on a study of existing land uses and tabulation, a study of the present and future
population of said city and adjacent areas and an analysis of the percentage of area, which will
be needed for commercial, industrial and other uses in relation to the area and population of
said city. Said copartnership shall also prepare a zoning ordinance in accordance with the
form of ordinances in successful use and modified to meet local conditions. Said copartnership
shall also prepare a master plan of streets and highways in said city, which master plan shall
show the existing street system, types of pavement, w. idth ~d conditions of such streets and ~
shall indicate streets not improved or open to traffic, jogs in streets, dead-ends and traffic
hazards. Such master plan shall include a traffic poll diagram, showing by width of line the
volume of traffic carried on state highways 6nd major city streets. Such master plan shall also
show existing traffic signals and arterial stop signs and shall include an accident spot map
showing locations of various types of traffic acci~.ents for the fiscal year, and include a map
showing bus routes designated truck routes, a master street and highway plan map and a
supplementary text in report form. Said copartnership shall deliver to said c~ty one orginal
~ap and four copies of the report to be made by said copartnership. Such work shall be commenced
on February l~ 1947, and completed not later than ~ugust l, 194.7. Said city shall supply to
said copartnership base maps ~ud make available public records and information necessary for
the performance of the work herein provided for.
Said city shall pay to said copartnershiR the sum of Forty-eight Hundred Dollars
($4800.00) in installments as follows: The sum of ~ight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) on the

I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted
