APPLICATION FOR PLAN pREPARATION REIMBURSEMENT AND SUPPORTING
DATA FOR THREE RECREATION BUILDINGS
1. WHEREAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4th Extra
Session) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of Finance to provide financial
assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities and counties
for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half of the cost of preparing engineering
field surveys, engineering or architectural designs, and working and detailed drawings
and specifications (hereinafter called "Plans") required for postwar public works projects
described as "specific projects"~in said Act; and
2. WHEREAS, the City of South San Francisco, hereinafter designated as "Local Ager~"~
desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board,
as the case may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of prepar-
ing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared and presented
to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose; and
3. WHEREAS, Local Agency has provided, or will make available upon approval of the
a~orementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein
mentioned.
4. NOW~Tt~REFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application
to the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board, as the case may
be, requesting allotment of One Thousand Nine Hundred Thirty four and 46~100 Dollars
(,1934.46) being not more than one-half the cost of preparing sai~ completed plans, or
for such amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or the Postwar PMblic
Works Review Board, (said allotment to be used for the purpose of defraying the cost
of preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project to be undertaken by
local agency and described as Three Recreati0n B~ild~ES~
5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the estimated cost of preparing such 'plans is Three
Thousand Eight Hundred Sixty Eight and 92/100. Dollars (~3868.92) and that Local Agency has
made provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans;
6. BE IT ~URTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application, Daniel J.
Hyland, City Clerk, City Hall, South San Francisco, be and he hereby is designated as the
authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the above
men~ioned ~oplication on behalf of the Local Agency and submit the same to the Director
and/or the Postwar Public Works Review Board together with a certified statement of the
estimated cost of preparing such plans and such.other information as may be required;
and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the representative of
Bocal Agency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including sub-
mission to the Director of Finance of applications for reimbursement, which may be necessary
to secure reimbursement for the State's share of the expenditures made in preparing s~id
completed, plans.
t hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco on th~ 3rd day of February,
1947, by the following vote:
