RESOLUTION NO. 1190
APPLICA~ION w0R PLAN PREPARATION ~E~i~BUIiSE~.~.NT AhqD

1. W}~REAS, the State of California under Chapter 47, Statutes of 1944, (4th Lxtra
Oession) has appropriated funds for allotment by the Director of ~'inance to provide
financial assistance to Local Agencies defined therein as counties, cities or cities a~d
counties for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half of the cost of preparing
engineering field surveys, engineering or architectural desii~ns, and ?,'orking and detailed
drawings and specifications (hereinafter called "21ans") required for postwar public
works projects described as ~'~pecific projects" in said Act; and
2. ~U~EREAS, the City of South San Francisco, hereinafter designated as "~.ocal
Agency"~ desires to apply to the Director of Finsmce and/or the fostwar Public -'orks
iteview Board, as tho cast may be, for an allotment of the State's share of the estimated
cost of preparing the completed plans hereinafter mentioned and there has been prepared
and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an application for such purpose;and
~ ~ '~' Local Agency has provided, or will make available upqn approval of

the aforementioned application, sufficient funds to prepare the completed plans herein
mentioned;
4. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that Local Agency submit the aforesaid application
to .the Director of Finance and/or the Zostwar ~'ub!ic .~7orks iioview Coard, as the case
may be, requesting a]~lotment of ~i'hree '£'housand Six Hundred Sixty and no~100 Dollars
(~ ~0.00) being not more than one-half the cost of preparin~ said complete~d plans, or
~' ~ and/or the Z~ootwar Public
for such amount as may be approved by the Director of lnance
~¥orks Review Ooard, (said allotment to be used ~or the purpose of defrayin.% the cost of
preparing said completed plans required) for a specific project to be undeDtaken by
local agency and described as a Central Fire oration.
5. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the esti~ated cost of preparing such plans is
Seven Thousand Five i~undred 'l~wenty and no/100 Dollars (~7~20.00) and that Local Agency
has made provision for paying one-half or more of the cost of preparing such plans;
6. BE IT iVURTHER RESOLVED, that for the purposes of this application, Daniel J.
Hyland, City Clerk, City Hall, South San Francisco, be and he hereby is desi~ated as
the authorized agent of Local Agency and is hereby authorized and directed to sign the
above mentioned application on behalf of the Local Agency ~

Director and/or the Postwar ~ublic '~orks i~eview Ooard together with a certified state-
ment of the estimated cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be
required; and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed as the ~epresenta.-
tire of Local Aoency to conduct all negotiations and conclude all arrangements, including
submission to the Director of r~inance of applications for reimbursement, which may be

necessary to secure reimbursement for the State z share of the expenditures made in
preparing said completed plans.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of Oouth San Francisco on the 10th day of
February, 19~, by the following vote;
