RESOLUTION NO. 119~.
ORDERING WORK ON SECOND LANE
RESOLVED, that, whereas the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did,
on the 27th day of January, 1947, pass its resolution of intention No. llS1 to order improve-
ment described in said resolution to be done in said city, which resolution of intention
was duly and regularly published, as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of ~
Myra R. Spangler, now on file in the o~fice of the City Clerk of said city; and
~,~,7~EREAS, notices of the passage of said resolution of intention No. 2181 were
duly and regularly posted along the line of said contemplated work and improvements and in
front of all the property liable to be assessed therefor, and along all tb.e open streets
within the district in said resolution of intention described, in the manner and form re-
quired by law, as appears from the affidavit of Henry L~ Schweining, Superintendent of
streets of said City, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city; and
WPDEREAS notices of the adoption of said resolution of intention were, on the ~gth
day of January, 1947, mailed by the ~ity Clerk to all persons who, accordinz to the informa-
tion and belief of said City Olerk, were then the owners of all the property proposedto be~
assessed t o pay the costs of said work, in the manner and form required by the "Improvement
Act of 1911", as appears from the affidavit of Daniel J. Hyland, the City Clerk of said city;and
~/.~EREAS no protest or objection against said work has been received by said Oity
Clerk or by said City Council at any time;
NOW, T!~REFORE, RESOLVED that public interest and convenience require the improve-
ment work described in said resolution of intention to be done and said City Council of the
City of South San Francisco hereby orders said work to be done.
Said City council hereby ascertains that the general prevailing rates of per diem
wages and the general prevailing rates for legal holiday an~ overtime work ap?licable to said
work to be done are as follows:

Group #S-Concrete pan work~ magesite and mastic workers, (wet or dry),
sloper,mucker undergroufld, pavement breakers, jackhammer,vibrators
and all air gas and electric tools,loading or unloading, carrying
and handling all rods and materials for use in reinforcing
concrete construction

ers, construction laborers, trackmen (construction,maintenance and
repair) all cleanup work of debris, grounds and buildings, watch-

Guards, watchmen and other common labor, not less than ~.~0.90 per hour.
The rate of any employee not listed in the above schedule shall not be less than
~l.10 per hour for skilled labor, .i~0.95 for intermediate labor and ~0.90 for unskilled labor.
Overtime work will be time and a half for time over eight hours, and on Saturdays,
and double times on Sundays.
The following are to be considered holidays; New k'ear,s day, Decoration Day,
independence Day, Labor Day, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day andChrmstmas' DKy.
The City ~lerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work. to-
gether with the plans and specifications, on or near the Council Chamber door,
inviting sealed proposals for doing the work ordered. He is also directed
to publish a notice .invit' ~
lno sealed proposals and referring to the specifications
posted or on file, by two insertions in "The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper
published and circulated in said City of South ~an Francisco and hereby
designated for that purpose.
