HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1197-1947RESOLUTION NO. 1197 (SECOND LANE IMPROVEMENT) WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session on the 17th day of March, 19A7, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing all the improvements work described in the resolution of intention entitled:. "A Resolution of the~ City Council of the City of Sout~ San Francisco Declaring Its Intention to Improve Second Lane between the Westerly Line of Orange Avenue and the Easterly Line of Eucalyptus Avenue", adopted January 27, 19A7, to which resolution refernece is hereby mad for a description of said work and the assessment district in said resolution of intention described. Except as hereinbefore provided, all of the hereinafter mentioned work shall be done in pursuance of an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as "Improvement Act of 1911", approved April 7 1911, and the amendments thereto. Resolved that said City Council hereby rejects all said proposals or bids except that next hereinaft~ mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doingsaid work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder to ~it: L. C. SMITH at the prices named in his bid, to wit: Item 1. 170 cubic yards of excavation and disposal,,per cubic yard. $ 1.95 Item 2. 78 cubic yards of excavation and fill, per cubic yard 2.10 Item3. 19,000 sq. feet of fine grade, per square foot .O15 Item ~. Two each clean-outs, each 25,75 Item 5. 302.6 cu. yards of 5-inch concrete pavement, per cubic yard. 17.20 The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of this award conspicuously for five (5) days on the Council Chamber door of this council, and also to publish said notice by two (2) insertions in "The Enter- prise", a newspaper of general circulation, publishe~ and circulated in said City of South San Francisco. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Counc: of the City of South San Francisco, this 17th day of March, 19A7, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen G. ~.
