HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1210-1947RESOLUTION NO. 1210 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTN SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR A NOTICE OF HEARING THE-PROPOSITION TO REZONE A CERTAIN AREA OF LAND IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has heretofore referred to the planning commission of said City of South San Francisco the proposition to rezon® the land hereinafter described;" and WHEREAS said city planning co~mt~ssion has considered the proposition of rezoning said land at a public hearing held on the 30th day of April, 19&7; and WHEREAS said city planning commission did, on the 30th day of April, 1927, adopt a certain resolution in which it is provided as follows: "A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SETTING FORTH ITS FINAL REPORT PJ~ATING TO OPPOSED REZONING OF A CERTAIN AREA OF LAND IN THE CITY OF SOUTH' SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 21st day of April, 1947, refe~ to the planning commission of said city the matter of proposed rezoning of the area of land hereinafter describ, a~ has requested said city planning commission to recommend to said City Council the regulations and restricti, tobe enforced therein with respect to the purposes for which said area may be used, in the event that said may be rezoned; and WHEREAS the city planning commission has, at pmblic meeting held on the 30th day of April, 19~7, con- sidered the question of rezoning amid area of land; NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the planning commission of the City of South San Francisco that said plar~ commission submits its final report and recommends the rezoning the area of land hereinafter described and the classification of the same as follows, an~ recommends the regulations and restrictions to be imposed therein, a~ hereinafter set fbrth. ~aid city planning commission recommends that said land be. classified for the residential purposes, ir multiple family units and that a clothes-washing industry, commonly known as "launderette" may be operated in sa area, but subject to the regulations hereinafter set forth. The land hereinbefore referred to consists of all that certain tract or parcel of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows: Ail that parcel of land situate in the County of San Mateo, State of California, and bounded by.the following described line: Beginning at a point on the northwesterly line of Linden Avenue as extended southwesterly from Linden Avenue as shown on "Map of Plat Number 2, Subdivision of Blocks 98, 99, 119, 122, South San Francisco ",.filed for record in Book 3 of Maps at page ~, San Mateo County Records, from which point a concrete monument marking t the beg~ng of a curve in the northwesterly line of said Linden Avenue bears south 15 degrees ~33 minutes west 117~.00 feet; said concrete monument also bears south 15 degrees 33 minutes west,.2~i.20 feet from the north- easterly corner of that certain 7.00 acre parcel of land conveyed by South San Francisco Land & Improvement Company to E. No building, structure, improvement or premises shall be used, and no building, structure, or improveme~ shall be erected, constructed, established, altered or enlarged, which is designed, arranged or intended to be occupied for any other purpose than that of a multiple family dwelling unit or clothes-washing industry, known as "launderette". No business shall be conducted on Said land which produces, causes or emits any dust, gas, smoke, noise: fumes or ~ors or vibrations which are or may bd detrimental to other property in the neighborhood or to the wel- fare of the occupants thereof. No. 137 of the City of Soeth San Francisco entttled~ "AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING INDUSTRIAL, BUSINESS AND RESIDENTIAL DISTRICTS IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO AND EXPRESSLY REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 117 OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, PASSED MAY A, 1925." RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that Friday, the 9th day of May, 1947, at the hour of 4:30 O'clock p.m., and the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said city be, and the same hereby are fixed as the ti~e and place when and whare all persons particularly interested, and the general public, may have an opportunity to be heard and show cause why the land hereinbefore described should not be rezoned in accordance with said report of said city planning commission. The City Clerk is hereby directed to publish by one (1) insertion in "The Enterprise", a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said City of South San Francisco, a notice substantially in the following form: NOTICE OF HEARING OF PROPOSITION TO REZONE A CERTAIN ~ AREA OF LAND IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. Notice is hereby given that the city planning commission of the City of South San Francisco has filed in the office of the City Clerk of said city'a report relative to the proposed rezoning of the land hereinafter des- cribed and that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco proposes to rezone said land in aecorchlnce with the recommendation of said city planning commission.
