DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO ~ONSTRUCT A SANITARY SEWER FROM SOUTH
MAGNOLIA AVENUE TO SOUTH SPRUCE AVENUE BETWEEN THE BADEN BRANCH~ OF
THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD COMPANY AND NORTH CANAL STREET, IN
THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. ,
WHEREAS public interest and convenience require that'~.hhe work and improvement h~reinafter des-
cr~bed should be done; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council-of the City of South San Francisco, said contemplated
work and improvement is, and is hereby declared to be of more than local or ordinary public benefit; and
WHEREAS the owners of the land hereinafter described as the district to be benefited by the con-
struction of said improvement have, in writing, requested that the work hereinafter mentioned should beddon,
and have waived benefit of that certain act of the Legislature of the 'State of California known and designa~
as "The Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, with respect to said
work; and
WHEREAS an estimate' of the cost and expense of said work hms been filed with said city clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED~ by the City Council of the City of So~th San Francisco that it t~ the
intention of s~Ad City Council to ~rder the following work and improvements to be done in said city, to wit
The construction of a sewer between South Magnolia Avenue and South Spruce Avemue, three hundred
twenty-five (325) feet south of the southerly boundary line of the Baden Branch of the Southerm Pacific
Railroad Company and North Canal Street.
Ail work herein provided for shall be done in accordance with the special pAAns, profiles and
specifications for said work, and at the location and to the grade shown upon said plans, which plans, pr~
files and specification were hertofore adopted by said City Council on the 28th day ofMay, 19~7, and are
now on file in the offfce of the City Clerk.
Reference is hereby made to said plans, profiles and specifications for a full description ofssa:
work and for the location and the extent of the work to be dcae hereunder and for the grade to which said
work is to be done, and for a particular.description of the boundaries of the district herein mentioned.
~aid City Council does hereby determine and declare that said proposed work and improvement is c
more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter
described, which said district is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and improvemez
and that, therefore, the entire cost and expense of said work and improvement shall be and hereby are made
chargeable against and sh~ll be assessed upon said land and district, except as hereinafter expressly pro-
vided, which district is within the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mates, State of California~
and particularly described as follows~'to:wit:
BEGINNING at a point 100 feet south 15° 33' wes$ of the southwest corner of lot numbered 20 in
block numbered 119, as shown upon that certain map entitIed: "Plat No. 2, Subdivision of Blocks 98,99, 11'
and 122, South San Francisco, California", which map was filed inthe office of the County Recorder of the
County of San Mates, California, November 10, 1900, and reCorded in Book 3 ef Mapsat page &; thence soutl
15° 33' west 325 feet; thence south 7&° 27' east !00 feet; thence north 15° 33 ' east 325 feet; thence nol
7&° 27' west 1000 feet to the' point of beginning; saving, excepting and excluding from said district all
public streets, avenues, and alleys, lanes, courts and places~included and contained.
Notice is hereby given that Serial Bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and to bear interest
at the rate of five (5) per cent per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division 1
of the Streets and Highways Code, in the Improvement Bond Act of '1915, and the last installment of such b
shall mature six (6) years from the 2nd day of July, next succeeding ten (10) months from their date~
"The South San Francisco Journal", a newspaper of general circulation, prAate~ and pm~Iished~ir
said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which thin,resolution of inter
tion shall be published, and the City. Clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution of intention $o
be publiehed by two (2) insertions in the manner /nd form required by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to mail's notice of the adoption of said resolution of intent!
postage prepaid, to all persons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay any part of
the costs of said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll of said c:
or as ~nown to said City Clerk.
The superintendent of streets shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the line of said cm
templated work and improvements, and not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not 1
than three (3) in all, and'along all the open streets within said district, at not more than three hundr

(300) feet in distance apart on each of said streets, notices of the passage of this resolution of intention,
in the manner and form required by "Improvement Act of 1911".
Notice is hereby given that on Monday, the 16th day of.June, 19A7, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m.,
the Council Chamber of said City Council of the City of South San Francisco, any and all persons having any
objections to the proposed work and improvements may appear before said City Council and show ~cause, why
said. proposed work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Except as hereinbefore provided, all of the herein proposed work shall be done pursuant to an act
of the Legislature of the State of California, designated as "Improvement Act.of 1911".
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 28th day of May~ 19A7, by the followingvote:
