A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY couNcIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FRANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO I~PROVE THE STREETS
IN THE SUBDIVISION IN SAID CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
KNOWN AS RANCHO.BURI BURI.MAP NO. 2
t~REAS public interest and convenience require that the work and improvements hereinafter described
should be done; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, said contemplated work
and improvement is, and is hereby declared to be of more tha~ local or ordinary public benefit; and
WHEREAS Buri Buri Homes, Inc., a corperati°n, as the owner of all that certain tract of land delineated
upon that certain map entitled: "RANCHO BURI BURI MAP NO. 2 SOUTH SAN.FRANCISCO, CALIF.'!, ~hich map was filed in
the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Marco, California, July 3, 19&7, and recorded in Book No.
27 of Maps at pages 25, 26, 27 and 28, has filed with the City Clerk of the City an instrument in writing read-
ing as follows:
WAIVER OF PROVISIONS OF SPECIAL ASSESSMENT, INVEStIGaTION LIMITATION
Ah~ MAJORITY PROTEST ACT.
BURI BURI HOMES, INC., a corporation organized and existing under the laws of the State of California,
as owner of all that certain tract or parcel of land delineated upon that certain map entitled: "RANCHO BURI
BURI MAP NO. 2 SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CALIF." WHICH map was filed in the office of the Councy Recorder of the
County of San Mateo, State of California, on the 3rd day of July, 19&7, and recorded in Book No. 27 of Maps at
pages 25, 26, 27, and 28, hereby waives the benefit of that certain act'.of the Legislature of the State of
California known and designated as "Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of
1931", with respect to all the improvement work hereinafter mentioned. Said improvement work consists of the
improvement of Arroyo Drive, Capay Circle, and Jacinto Lane for their full lengths; Verano Drive between Capay
~rcle and the property line return on the northwesterly side of Arroyo Drive, as shown on the map hereinbefore
mentioned, by constructing therein grading, water-bound macadam base pavement with asphaltic concrete wearing
surface, Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer pipe mains, wye
branches, side wewers, and side sewer cleanouts, cement concrete pipe storm drains, aanholes and catch basias
with cast iron frames and covers complete.
IN WITNF~S ~4Y/~EOF said Buri Buri Homes Inc. has caused its corporate name to be hereunto subscribed
by its vice-president, and its corporate seal to be affixed by its assistant treasurer, first thereunto duly
authorized, this 7th day of July, 1927.

AND WHEREAS an estimate of the cost.and expense of said work has'been filed with the City Clerk ef
said City;
NOW, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the City Council ef the City ef SOUth San Francisco that it is the in-
tention of said City Counci~ to order the following work and improvements to be done in said city, to wit:
Improvement of Arroyo Drive, Capay Circle and Jacinto Lane for their full leagths; Verano Drive between Capay
Circle and the property line return on the northwesterly side of Arroyo Drive, as shown on the map hereinbefore
mentioned, by grading and constructing therein a water-bound macadam base pavement with asphaltic concrete wea~-
lng surface, Portland cement concrete curbs, gutters and sidewalks, vitrified clay pipe sanitary sewer pipe
mains, wye branches, side.sewers, and side sewer cleanouts, cement concrete pipe storm drains, manholes and
catch basins with cast iron fromes and covers complete.
Ail the work herein provided for shall be done in accordance'wi~h the special pla~s, ~rofiles and
specifications for.said work, and at the location and to the grades shown upon said plans, which plans, pro-
files and specifications are entitled: "Plans and specifications for construction of improvements Rancho
Buri Buri No. 2 South San Francisco, Calif."
Reference is hereby made to said plL~s, profiles and specifications for a full descripti°n of said
work,nd for the location and the extent of the work to ben, done hereunder and for the grades to which said
work is to be done, and for a particular description of the boundaries of the district herein mentioned.
Said City Council does hereby determine and declare that said proposed work and Lmprovement is of
more than local or ordinary public benefit and will affect and benefit the lands and district hereinafter des-
cribed, which said district is hereby declared to be the district benefited by said work and improvements and
that, therefore, the entire cost and expense of said work and improvement shall be and hereby are made charge-
able against and shall be assessed upon said lands and district, except as hereinafter expressly provided,
which district is within the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and part-
icularly described as follows, to wit:
The exterior boundary of all that certain tract or land delineated upon that certain map entitled:
"Rancho Buri Butt Map No. 2 South San Francisco, Calif.", which map was filed in the office of the County
Recorder of the ~ounty of San Mateo, California, July 3, 1927, and recorded in Book No. 27 of Maps at pages
25,26, 27 and 28, saving excepting and excluding from said district all public streets, avenues and alleys,
lanes, courts and places included and contained.
Notice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and to bear interest
at the rate of five (5) per cent per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division l0
of the Streets and Highways Code, the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and the last installment ef which bonds
shall mature fourteen ~14) years from the second day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date.
"The South San Francisco Journal", a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in
said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this resolutio~ of intention
shall be published, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolutiom of intention to be published
by two (2) insertions in the manner and form required by law.
Said City Clerk is also directed to mail a notice of the adoption of said resolution of intention, peat-
age prepaid, to a~l persons.owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay ~ny part of the cost
ef said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment ro~l, or as known to said City
catch basins with cast iron frcaes and covers complete.

The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be conspicueu~lyposted along the lineof said contem-
plated work or improvements, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than
three (3) in all, and along all the open streets within said district at not more than three hundred (3~O) feet
in distance apart on each said street, notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner
and form required by the "Improvement Act of 1911".
Notice is hereby g!.ven that on Monday, the 28th day of July, 1927, at the hour of 2:30 o'clock p.m.,
in the Council Chamber of said City Council of the City of South San Francisco any,and all persons having any
objections to the proposed work and improvements may appear before said City Council and show why said proposed
work and improvements should not be carried out in accordance with this resolution.
Except as hereinbefore provided, all of the herein proposedwork shall be done pursuant to an act of
the Legislature of the State of California designated as "Improvement Act of 1911".
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco this 8th day of July, 1927, by the following vote~
