RESOLUTION NO. 12Al
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO PROVIDING FOR A NOT'ICE OF
HEARING THE PROPOSITION TO REZONE A ~ERTAIN AREA
OF LAND IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco has heretofore referred tet he Planning
Commission of said City of South San Francisco the proposition to rezone the land hereinafter described; and
WPR~REAS said city planning commission has considered said proposition or rezoning said land at a pubkic
hearing held on the 16th day of July, 19&7; and
WHEREAS said City planning commission did, on the 9th day of July, 19&7, adopt a certain resolution
in which it is provided as follows:

ITS FINAL REPORT, RELATING TO THE PROPOSED REZONING OF A CERTAIN AREA OF LAND IN THE CITY OF
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
~D~EAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 8th day of July, 19~7, refer
to the planningcommission of said city the matter of proposed rezoning of the area of land hereinafter described
and has requested said city planning commission to recommend to said City Council the regulations and restrictions
to be enforced'therein with respect to the purposes for which said area may be used, in the event that e~id land
may be rezonedf and
WHEREAS the city planning commission has, at a public meeting held qn the 16th day of July, 19&7, con-
sidered the qu6stion of rezoning said area of land;
NOW, ~HEREFORE, RESOLVED by the planning Commission of the City of South San Francisco that said plan-
ning commissio~ of said city submits its final repo~ and recommends the rezoning of the area of land herein-
after described and the classifications of the same as follows, and reCommends the regulatings and restrictions
for business heYeinafter set forth.
The Land hereinbefore referred to consist~ of all those certain lots or parcels of land situate in
the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mate~, State of California, and described as follows:
L~s numbered seventy-two and seventy-three (72 and 73), as shew~ upon that certain map entitled:
"South City Village South San Francisco, California~, which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder
of the County of San Mateo, California, June 20, 19~, in Book 2~ of Maps at page 22.
The use of the land hereinbefore described for business purposes shall be subject to the following
regulations:
REGULATIONS FOR BUSINESS DISTRICT.
No building, structure, improvement or premises shall be used, and no building, structure or improve-
ment shall be erected, constmActed, established, altered or enlarged which is designed, arranged, or intended
to be occupied for any purpose other than the following:
~t,res or shops for the conduct of retail business; the business of operating service stations, rest-
aurants, barber shops, beauty parlors~, ~ry cleaning and pressing agency.~ No business shall be carried on in any
part of said land which produce~, causes or emits any dust, gas, smoke, noise, fumes or odors or vibrations which
are or may be d~trimental to any other property in ~he neighborhood or to the welfare of the. occupants thereof, and
WHEREAS a certified~copy of said resolutio~ has been filed in the office of ~he City Clerk of said city; ~.~
and
WHEREAS said City~C°uncil proposes to rezo.ne the land hereinbefore described in accordance with the re-
port of said city planning commissiom hereinbefore s.et forth, and to amend Ordinance No. 137 of the City of South
San Francisco entitled: ',An ordinance establishing i. ndustrial, b~usiness and residential districts in the CitY of
South San Francisco and expressly repealing Ordinanc.e No. 117 of the City of South Sang, Francisco, passed Nay &, 1925."
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City o~ South Sa~ Francisco that Friday, the 25th day of July, 19~7
at the hour of ~:30 o'clock p.m., at the Council Chamber in the City Hall of said city be, and the same hereby
are fixed as the time and place when and where all persons particularly interested, and the general public,, may
have an opportunity to be heard and sh~w cause why the land hereinbefore described should not be zoned in accord-
ance with said report of said city planning commission.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to ~blish by one (1) insertion in "The Enterprise", a newspaper of
general Circulation, printed and published in said. City of South San Francisco, a notice substantially in the.
following form:
to be enforced 'therein with respect to the purposes 'for which said area may be used, in the event that skid land
may be rezoned;' and
~EREAS the city planning commission has, :at a public meeting held 'qn the 16th day of July, 1927, con-
sidered the question of rezoning said area of land;
NO'~, THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the planning jommission of the City of South San Francisce that said plan-

Notice is hereby given that the City. Planning Commission of the City of South San Francisc° has filed
in the office of the City Clerk of said city a report relative to the proposed rezoning of the land hereinafter
described and that the City Council of the City of South San Francisco proposes to rezone said land in accordance
with the recommendations of said cit~ planning commission.
Notice is further~hereby given that said City Council will hold a public meeting on Friday, the 25th day
of July, 19&7, st the hour of &:30 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chambers of the City Hall of said city,.when and where
all persons particularly interested, and the general public, may have an opportunity to be heard as to why the land
hereinafter described should not be rezoned in accordance withthe recommendation of said city planning commission,
now on file in the office of said city clerk.
~The land hereinbefore referred to consists of all those certain lots or parcels of land situate in the
City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows:
Lots numbered seventy-two (72) and seventy-three (73), aS shown upon that certain map entitled: "South
City Village, South San Francisco,.California," which map was filed in the office recorder of the County of San
Mateo, California, June 20, 19~, in Book 2~ of Maps at page 22.
Reference is hereby made to 'the resolution adopted by said City Planning Commission on the 16th day of
July, 19~7, which resolution is entitled: "A resolution of the City Planning CommisSion of the City of South San
Francisco setting forth its final report, relating to the proposed rezoning of a certain area of land in the City
of South San Francisco", and is now on file in the office of said City Clerk.
