AWARDING CONTRACT ON RAILROAD AVF~PJE SEWER
WHEREAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session, on the 28th day of
July, 1947, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing all the improvement work
d~scribed in resolution of intention no. 1220 entitled: "Aresolution of the City Council of the City of South
San Francisco declaring its intention tO construct a sanitary sewer in South Magnolia Avenue to South Spruce
Avenue between the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company and North Canal Street, in the City of
=South San Francisco," adopted June 2, 1947, to ~d~i~h resolution reference is hereby made for a description of
said work and the aesessment district in said resolution of intention described.
Except as.hereinbefore provided, all.of the hereinafter mentioned work shkll be done in pursuance of
an act of the ~egislature of State of California designated as the "Improvement Act of 1911", approved April 7,
1911, and the amendments theEeto.
RESOLVED ~hat said City Council hereby rejects al1 said proposals or bids except that next hereinaftex
mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder,
to wit:
Gabriel Construction Co., at the prices named in its bid, to wit:
Item 1. 8 inch sewer, per lin. ft.

The City Clerk is hereby directed to ~ost a notice of this award conspicuously for five (5) days on
the Council Chamber' doo~ of this Council and also to publish said notice by two (2) insertions in "The Enterprt
a newspaper of general circulation, published and circulated in South San Francisco.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Counc~
of the City of South San Francisco this 28th day of July~ 19A7, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen G. ~. Holston, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None.
