RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK g12~3
ORDERING IMPROVEMENT ~ORK - - - BURI BUR1 NO. 2
RESOLVED, that, whereas the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 8th day of July,
19&7, pass its resolution of intention No. 1233 to order the improvement work described in said resolution to be
done in said city, which resolution of intention was duly and regularly published, as required by law, as appears
from the affidavit of HAZEL TAVENER, now on file in the Office of the City Clerk of said City; and
WltEREAS notices of the passage of said resolution of intention No. 1233 wore duly and regularly posted
along the.line of said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed
therefore, and along all the open streets within the district in said resolution of intention described, in.the
manner and form required by law, as appears from the affidavit of Henry L. Schweining, Superintendent of Streets
of:!.$Aid city, now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and
~H~EAS Buri Buri Homes, Inc., a corporation, as the owner of the district of land described in said res-
olution of intention, has admitted receipt of notice of the adoption of sa~d resolution of intention, as appears on
the receipt of such notice on file in the office of said city clerk; and
WHEREAS no protest or objection against said work has been received by said City Clerk or by said City
Council at anytime;
NOW, TPIF~REP~RE, RESOLVED that public interest and convenience require the improvement work described in
said resolution of intention to be done and said City Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby orders said
work to be done.
Said city council hereby ascertains that the general prevailing rates of per diem wages and the general
prevailing rates for legal holiday and overtime work applicable to said work to be done are as follows:

Overtime to be time and one-half for time over eight hours, and on Saturdays, and double time on Sundays.
Monthly rates are to be equal to the above based on a 176-hour working month.

Any classification omitted herein shall be not less than 1.25 per hour.
The following are to be considered holidays: New Year's Bay, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day,
Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Saturdays and Sundays.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work, together with the plaes and specifications
on or near the council chamber door, inviting sealed proposals for doing the work ordered, He is also directed to pub-
lish a notice inviting sealed proposals and referring to the specifications posted or on ~le, by two (2) insertions
in "The Enterprise", a weekly newspaper published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco and hereby designated
for that purpose.
