AND THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE S;~N FRANCISCO MUNICIPAL RAIL- WAY. ~iEREAS public interest a~d convenience require that the work and improvements hereinafter described should be done; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City CouncLl of the City of. South San Fran~sco, said contemplated work and improvement is, and is hereby declared to be of more than local or ordinary public benefit; and WHF~REAS there has been filed with the City Clerk of said city an instrument in writing reading as follows: THE UNDERSIGNED, as owners of all the land in the parcel or tract of land next hereinafter described, hereby request that the-street improvement work hereinafter mentioned be done and hereby waive the benefit of that certain act of the Legislature of the State of Califormia known and designated as "The special assessment, invest- igation, limitstion and majority protpst act of 1931", with respect to said work. Said improvement work consists of the improvement of said ~Vest ~range Avenue between the south line of Railroad Avenue and the south side of the right of way of San Francisco Municipal Railway, excavation for pavement, the constnAetien of crusher ro~'k base pavement with 2~-inch asphaltic concrete wearing surface, combined concrete eurb and gutter and special catch basin with 10-inch concrete pipe connection. The land hereinbefore referred to is all that parCel or tract of land situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as follows: COMMENCING at the intersection of the westerly boundary of South Magnolia Avenue with the southerly boundary of the Baden Branch of the Southern Pacific .Railway right-of-way; thence from said point of commendement along said southerly boundary north 7&O 27' west 1779.87 feet; thence leaving said boundary south 36° 06' 36" wemt 1139,02 feet to a point in the northerly boundary of the Valencia Branch of the Southern Pacific Railway right of way; thence along said northerly boundary south 55° 59' 10" east 120.93 feet; thence continuing along said northerly boundary on the arc of a curve to the right of radius 3859.83 feet, said curve being tangent at said last mentioned point to said last mentioned course, a distance of 714.~6 feet to the southerly most corner of Lot i Block 5 as delineated on that certain map entitled: ~ayfair Village. South San Francisco, Calif.", dated ~arch, 1944, and recorded ~rch 22', 1944, at page 21 in Volume 2A of Maps, San Mateo Comuty ~ecords; thence along the southeasterly boundary of said Lot I and the southeasterly boundaries of Lots 2 and 3 in Block 5, Mayfair Village, north 36° o6' 36" east 175.28 feet; thence along the common boundary between Lots 3 and 5 in Said Block 5, Mayfair Village, north 53° 53' 24" west 50 feet; thence along th~ common boundary between Lots 4 and 5 in said Block 5, across Myrtle Avenue and along the common boundary between Lots land 2 in Block I of said ayfamr Vzllage, north 36° 06' 36" east 24a feet; thence along the common boundary between Lots 2 and 3 in said Block i south 53° 53' 24" east 50 feet, thence along the southeasterly boundaries of Lots 3, 4, and 5, in said ~lock i n~rth 36° 06' 36" east 171.51 feet; thence along the northeasterly boundary of said Lot 5 on the arc of a curve to the right of radius 1075 feet a distance of 102 feet, the tangent to said curve at said last mentioned point being north 72° 26' 45" west; thence along the easterly boundary of West Orange Avenue north 36° 06' 36" 151-97 feet; thence along the northeasterly boundary of North Oa~al Street on the arc of a curve to the left of radius 925 feet a distance of 171.17 feet, the tangent to said cur~e at said last mentioned point bearing south 7&° 27' east; thence continuing along said northeasterly boundary south 74° 27' east 1084.75 feet; thence along the westerly boundary of ~o~th Magnolia Avenue north 15'° 33' east 695.52 to the point of commencement. All the work herein shall be done in accordance with the specia~ plans, profiles and specifications for sA~d work, and at the location and to the grade shewn upon said plans, which plans and specifications are entitled: "Plans and Specifications Improvement of West Orange Avenue, South San Francisco, California". Reference is hereby made to Said plans, profiles and specifications for a full description of said work and for the location and the extent of the work to be done hereunder and for the grades to which said work is to be done and for a particular description of the boundaries of the district herein mentioned. Notice is hereby given that seria~ bonds to represent unpaid assessments, end to bear interest at the rate of five (5) percent per annum will be issued hereunder in'the manner provided by Division l0 of the Streets and Highways Code, and the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and the last installment of such bonds shall mature fourteen (lA) years from the 2nd day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. "The Enterprise", a ne~spaper of general circulation, orinted and published in said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper in which this re~olution of intenbion shall be published, the ~ty ~lerk ~s her~.by d~rected to cause th~s resolution of ~ntentton to be published by two (2) ~nsertions in the manner and form required by law. Said city clerk is alsO directed to mail a notice of the adoption of said resolution of intention, postage prepaid, to all persons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to pay any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment roll, or as known to said city clerk. The superintendent of streets shall cause to be conspecdously posted along the line of said con- templated work or improvement at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than three(3) in all, and along all the open streets v~thin sa~d district at not more than three hundred (3~0) feet in distance ~.part on each said street, notice of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner and form required by the "Improvement Act of 1911". Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, the 2nd day of Sept.,' ~ 19A7, at the hour of 8 o'clock p.m., in the Council Chamber of sai~ City COuncil of the City of ~outh San Francis¢ any and all persons having any objections to the proposed work and improvements may appear before said City Counc~ and show cause why said proposed work and improvements ahoul~ not be carried out in accordance with this resolmti¢ EXCept as hereinbefore provided, all of the here~n proposed work shall be done pursuant to an act of the Legislature of the State of California designated as "T~ Improvement Act of 1911". I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 7th day of August, 1947, by the following vote: Ayes, Noes, Absent, Councilmen C.
