RESOLUTION NO. 1258
RESOLUTION ORDERING THE '~ORK
RESOLVED that, whereas the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 7th day of August
19&7, pass its resolution of intention No. 12&6 to order the street work described in said resolution to be done in said
city, which resolution of intention was duly and regularly published, as required by law, as appears fromthe affidavit
of MYRA R. SPANGLER, now on file in the office of the City Clerk of said city; and
'.~ notices oS the passage of said resolution of intention No. 12&6 were duly and regularly posted
along the line of said contemplated work and improvements and in front of all the property liable to be assessed
therefor, and along all the open streets within the district in said resolution of intention described, in the m~_~ner
and form required by law, as appears from the affidavit of Henry L. Schweining, Superintendent of Streets of said city,
now on file in the office of the city clerk of said city; and
WHEREAS. no protest or objection against said work has b.een received by said City Clerk or by said City a
Council at any time;
~, THE~W~FORE, RESOLVED that public interest and coven~ence require the street work described in said
resolution of intention to be done and said 0ity Council of the City of South San Francisco hereby orders said work
to be done.
Said City Council hereby ascertains that the general pr.evalinE rates of per diem wages and the general
prevailing rates for legal holiday and overtime work applicable to sai.d wprk to be done are as follows~

Overtime to be time and one-half for time over eight hours, and on Saturdays, and double time on
Monthly rates are to be equal to the above b~sed on a 176-hour working month.
Any classification omitted herein shall be not less than $1.25 per hour.
The following are to be considered .holidays: New Year' s Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor
Day, Admission Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, Saturdays and Sundays.
The City Clerk is hereby directed to post a notice inviting sealed prtposals for doing said work
ordered, together with plans and specifications, on the Council Chamber door. He is also directed to publish a notice
invited sealed proposals and referring to the specifications posted or on file, by two (2).insertions in "The South
San Francisco Journal". a weekl~ newenaner

designated for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council
of hhe City of South San Francisco this 2nd day of September, 1927, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko Adolph Sani.
Noes, Councilmen None.
Absent, Councilmen G. W. Holston, and Emilio Cortesi
