HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1260-1947RESOLUTION NO. 1260 RESOLUTION CANVASSING RETURNS AND DECLARING THE RESULTS OF A SPECIAL MUNICIPALELECTION HELD IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO SEPTEMBER 16, 19~7. WHEREAS, at a special municipal election held in the City of South San Francisco on Tuesday, the 16th day of September, 19&7, a pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No. 267 of the City of South San Francis~ the number of voters voting in each of the precincts in said city hereimafter mentioned, on each of the three (~ propositions mentioned in said Ordinance No. 267, respectively, and the number of votes cast for and against ea~ of said propositions, respectively, were as follows: PRE¢INCT A' Number of voters voting 185 P OPOSITION N0. ! City of South San ~rancisco, a municipal corporation, a central police station and acquiring the necessary furDiture and equi_~nen~ for the same, was, and this City Council hereby finds, determines and declal that said proposition No. 1, as aforesaid, has carried and was duly acdepted by the votes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the yoters voting thereon at said ~pecial municipal election, and that said City of South San Franci~ is duly authorized to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco in the amount and for said proposition No. i and in the manner, in said Ordinance 26? set forth and specified. 2.1that said proposition No. 2, to wit, the oroposition to incur a bonded indebtedness of $185,000 in lawful money of the United Statesoof America for the object and purpose of acquiring, constructing and complet. ing by the City of South San Francisco, a municinal corporation, a central fire department station in said city and a fire department substation west of E1 Camino Real in said city, together with lands, buildings, furniture and equipment therefor, an aerial service truck, a pumping engine and other fire fighting equipment, works, property, structures and equipment for fire protection purposes of said City of South San Francisco, was, and thi City Council hereby finds, determines and declares that said proposition No. 2, as aforesaid, has carried and was duly accepted by' the votes of more than two-thirds (2/3) of all the voters voting thereon at said special munici- pal election, and that said City of South San Francisco is duly authorized to issue bonds of said City of South San Francisco in the amount and for said proposition No. 2 and in the manner in said ordinance No. 267 set forth and specified. 200 3. Ordinance No. 267 set forth and specified.
