A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN
FE~NCISCO PROPOSING TO IMPROV~)OLLAR AVENUE, TANFORAN AVE~
NUE AND ~GT~ AVENUE EAST IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRAN-
CISCO AND REQUESTI~ THE CONSENT OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SAN BRUNO TO THE FORMATION OF A DISTRICT BENEFITED
BY IMPROV~ENT OF SAID STREETS, WHICH DISTRICT INCLUDES LAND
SITUATE IN SAID CITY OF SAN BRUNO.
WHEREAS public interest and convenience require that the work and improvements hereinafter
described should be done; and
WHEREAS, in the opinion of the City Council of the City of SoUth San Francisco, said contem~late¢
work and improvment is, and is hereby declared to be, of more than local or ordinary public benefit; and
WHEREAS & portion of the district of land which, in the opinion of said City Council, will be
benefited by such improvements, and which said City Council proposes bo cause to be assessed to pay the costa
and expenses of such improvements, extends into the City of San Bruno, and said work is of such a character thai
it directly affects property in said City of South San Francisco and in said City of San BrUno, and the consent
of the City CoUncil of said City of San BrUno is necessary to the formation of the' district described in the fo~
of resolution of intention hereinafter mentioned;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council of the
City of South San Francisco proposes to order the following work and improvements to be done in said City, to w~
The improvement work consists of the following: grading for pavement; constructing concrete curt
and gutters; constructing concrete sidewalks, five (5) feet wide on the west side of Dollar Avenue, and on the
north and south sides of Tanforan Avenue and on the east side of Huntington Avenue East; constructing five (5)
inch crusher rock base with two and one-half (2~.) inch asphaltic concrete surface, forth (kO) feet wide on Dolls
Avenue; constructing five (5) inch crusher rock base with two and one-half (2}) inch asphaltic concrete am~face
coarse, thirty-seven (37) feet wide on Tanforan Avenue; constructing five (5) inch crusher rock base withtthe
two and one-half (24) inch asphaltic concrete surface coarse, twenty-one (21) feet wide on Huntington Avenue Eas
and constructing catch basins and storm sewers on Dollar Avenue.
Ail said improvement work, in the opinion of said City Council, is of such a character that it
directly and peculiarly affects property in each of said cities, and the purposes sought to be accomplished by
said work can best be accomplished by a simple, comprehensive scheme of work.
A copy of the resolution of intention, which said city 6cuncil of the City of South San Francisco
proposes to adopt for said work, is attached to this resolution.
Resolved further by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council
hereby requests the consent of the City Council of said City of San Bruno to the formation of the district in
said proposed resolution of intention described, and that said resolution of intention be submitted to the
council of said City of San Bruno.
The City Clerk id hereby directed to transmit to the City Council of said City of San Bruno
a certified copy of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the
City Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 6th day of October, 19~7, by the following vote:
Ayes: Councilmen Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi
