HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1268-1947206 RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO. 1268 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY 'COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FI~ANCISCO DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO IMPROVE DOLLAR AVENUE TANFORAN AVENUE AND HUNTINGTON AVENUE EAST IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. WHEREAS public interest and convenience require that the work and improvements hereinafter described should be done; and WHEREAS, in the opinion of the' City Council of the City of South San Franc, isco, said contem- plated work and improvement is, and is hereby declared to be of more than local .or .ordinary public benefit; and WHEREAS an estimate of the cost and expense of said work has been filed with the .City Clerk of said city; NOW, THEREFORE, 'RESOLVED by the C'it~ Council of the City of South San Francisco that it ~s the intention of said City Council to order the following work and improvements to be done in said city, to wit: T, he improvement work hereinbefore mentioned consists of the following: grading '~or pavement constructing concrete curbs and gutters; constructing concrete sidewalks, five (5) feet wide on .the west side of Dollar Avenuem and on the north and south sides of Tanforan Avenue and on the east side of HuDtington Ave. East;~ construdinE five (5) inch crusher rock base with 2~_ inch asphaltic concrete surface, forty..(&O) feet wide on Dollar Avenue; constructing five (5') inch crusher rock base with 2~ inch asphaltic concrpte Surface cgurse, thirty-seven (37) feet wide on Tanforan Avenue; constructing five (5) inch crusher rock rase with 2~ inch asphalti~ concrete surface course, twenty-One (21) feet wide on Huntington Avenue East; ~nd construct- ing catch basins and storm sewers on Dollar Avenue. Ail the work herein provided for shall be done in accordance with the special plus, profiles and specificatio.ns for said work, and at the location and to the grades shown upon said plans, which plans, profiles and spe.cifications are entitled: "Plans and Specifications street improvement Dollar Ayenue-Tanforan Avenue-Huntingto.n Avenue East, South San Francisco, California." R.eference is hereby made to said plans, profiles and specifications for a full de4cription of said WOrk and for the location and the extent of the work to be done hereunder and for the grades to which said works is to be done and for a particular description of the boundaries of the district herein meotioned. No$ice is hereby given that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments, and to bear interest at the rate of five~5) per ce~ per annum, will be issued hereunder in the manner provided by Division 10 of the Streets and Highways Code, the Improvement Bond Act of 1915, and the last installment of such $on~s shall mature fourteen (l&) years from the second day of July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. ,, "The Enterprise , a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said City of South San Francisco, is hereby designated as the newspaper inwhich this resolution of intention shall be, published, and the City Clerk is hereby directed to cause this resolution of intention to be published by two (2~ insertions in the manner and form required by law. SAid CityClerk is also directed to mail a notice of the adoption of ~aid resolution of intention, postage pre~aid, to all persons owning real property which is proposed to be assessed to apy any part of the cost of said work, whose names and addresses appear on the last equalized assessment ro~l, or as known to said City Clerk. The Superintendent of Streets shall cause to be conspic~ouly posted along the line of said Contemp- lated work or improvements, at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart, but not less than (~) in all, and along all the open streets within said district at not more than three hundred (300) feet in distance apart on each said street, notices of the passage of this resolution of intention, in the manner and form required by the "Improvment'Act of 1911". Notice is hereby given that on Monday. the 17th dam of November. 19A7. at the hour of 8 ~'c]ock n.m.. Except as hereinbefore provided, all of the herein proposed work shall be done pursuant to an actof the Legislature of the State of California designated as "The Improvement Act of 1911".
