WHEREAS many hundreds of residents of South San Francisco patriotically served our county in
its struggles during the First World War and the SecOnd World War; and
WHEREA~ this City Council believes that our city should establish some enduring memorial to
forever perpetutate the remembrance of their deeds of valor and their sacrifices in the defense of our country
and of the principles of free government.
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that the City of South San
Francisco hereby dedicates Orange Avenue P~rk as a living memorial to all those residents of South San Francisc
who have served our country in the FirstWor~ War and in the Second World War.
