A RESOLb~I'ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
AMENDING TI~ ESTABLISHED PERSONNEL
RuLEs AND REGULATIONS OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
_ RESOLVED by the City Council o£ the City of South San Francisco that the
'Established Personnel Rules and Regulations of the 'City of South San Francisco",
adopted by the City Council on the 10th day of February, 1943, be, and the same
h~eby are amended as follows: '
Rule IV a. is hereby amended by adding thereto two (2) new sections,, which
new sections shall b~ numbered and read as follows:
Section 4. No Derson' shall be eligible for appointment in the 'competitive
service as Captain of Police or Sergeant of Police, who has not served as a pa. trolman
in the police department 6f ~sa~d 'City of South San Franci'sco continuously for a period
of five (5) years imediately prior to appointment.
' Secti&n 5. No person shall be eligible for appointment in the competitive
service as an assistant fire chief who has not served as a fireman in the fire department
of said City of South San Francisco continuously for a period of five (5) yea~s i~nediately
prior to appointment.
I hereby certify that tb~ foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting this
1Vth day of November, 194V, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen: G.W. Holston, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph ~Sani, Emilio Cortesi
Noes, Councilmen: None
Absent, Councilmen: None
