RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council finds and
determines and hereby declares that:
The public interest and necessity require the acquisition, construction and completion by the Cit.~
of South San FranciscO of a building for the purposes of the fire department of said city; the public interest
and necessity require the acquisition for said purposes of the real property hereinafter described;
Resolved further that said City of .South San Francisco .acquire the real property hereinafter
described by condemnation in accordance with the provisions of the Co~e of Civil Procedure and the Constitution
of the State of California relating to eminent domain, and prepare the prosecute, in the name of the People of
the State of California, such proceeding or proceedings in the Superior Court of the State of California, in and
for the County of San Mateo, .as are necessary for such acquisition;~hat said city make application to said
Superior Court for an order fixing the amount of such security, in the way of money deposits as said court may
direct, and for an order permitting said City of .south San Francisco to take immediate possession and use of
said real property, for .the purpose of constructing and m~t_ntaining thereon a building for the fire department
of said city; that said city deposit such security, out of proper funds under the control of said city, in,such
amount, so fixed and determined, and in such me~ner as said Superior Court may direct.
The real property which said City of South San Francisco determines to acquire for. said public
use is situate in the City of South San Francisco, County of San Mateo, State of California, and described as
follows:
Beginning at a point marking the intersection of the southwesterly line of Baden Avenue and the
southeasterly line of Cypress Avenue, said point being the most northerly corner of Lot 12 Block 1~5 as said
avenues, lot, and block are designated on that certain map entitled: "South San Francisco, ~an Mateo ~o. Cal.
Plat No. 1", which map was filed for recored in the Office of the Recorder of the County of San Mateo, State of
Ca!iforaia, March 1, 1~92, Book 2 of Maps, at page 52 thereof. Nunning thence from said point of beginning soutl
7&° 27' east along said line of Baden Avenue 50 feet to a point thereon; thence leaving said last mentioned line
south 15° 33' west 140 feet; thence north 7&° 27' west 66.&& feet to the southeasterly line of Cypress Avenue
above mentioned; thence north 22° 14' 50" east along said last ~entioned line 140.96 feet to the point of be-
ginning.
Being a portion of lots 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12 in Block 145 of the above mentioned maP.
The City Attorney is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and file a complaint in eminent
dom,~n for the purpose of acquiring said land, and to do all such other things as may be necessary to carry
into effect the purposes of this resolution.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City
Council of the City of South San Francisco, this 5th day of January, 19~8, by the following vote:
