HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1307-1948(SF J ) RESOLUTION NO. 1307 RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said city proposes to cause the following work and improvements to he done in said city, to wit: The improvement work herein before-mentioned consists of the following: Grading for pavement; constructing concrete curbs and gutters; constructing concrete sidewalks, five (5) feet wide on the west side of Dollar Avenue, and on the north and south sides of Tsnforaa Avenue and on the east side of Huntington Avenue East; constructing five (5) inch crusher rock base with 2~-inch asphaltic concrete Surface, forty ~&O) feet wide on Dollar Avenues constructing five (5) inch crusher rock base with 2~-inch asphaltic concrete su~ace course, thirtY-seven (37) feet wide on Tanf~ran Avenue; constructing five (59 inch crusher rock base with 2~-inch asphal concrete surface course twemty-one (21) feet wide on Huntington Avenue East; and constructing catch basins and storm sewers on Dollar Avenue. ~ - Reference is hereby made to the plans and specifications for said work for a description of said work and for all particulars relative thereto, which plans and specifications are now on file in the office of t City Clerk of said city and are open to inspection. Said City Council hereby defines the boundarY and extent of the district of land to be especially assessed to pay the costs of said proposed improvement as follows: COMMENCING at the most northerly corner of the property now or forms~t7 owned by Heintz and Kaufm Ltd., as said property is delineated on the Official Map of the City of South San Francisco; thence along the northwesterly boundary of said property now or formerly owned by Heintz and Kaufman, Ltd., south 65° 20' A2" wes 5&9.6& feet; thence north 69° 39' 18" west &2.&3 feet; thence north 2Lo 39' 18, west 207.lO_feet; thence on t agc of a curve to the right of radius 310.91 feet a distance of 236.35 feet; thence south 37° OO' 00" west 61L. feet; thence on the arc of a curve to the left of radius &67.68 feet a distance of 252.29 feet; thence south 65c 20' ~2" west 120.00 feet; thence south 23.0 36' 58" east 606.96 feet; thence north 65° 20' &2" east 85.00 feet; thence south 2&° 39' 18" east 25.00 feet; thence north 65° 20' ~2" east 100.OO feet; thence south 2A° 39' 18" es 75.00 feet; thence north 65° 20' L2" east 800.00 feet; thence north 2&° 39' 18" west 75.00 feet; thence north 65 20' A2" east 101.90 feet; thence north OO° 59' 18" west 27.25 feet; north 65° 20' &2" east 136.~8 feet; thence ¢ the arc of a curve to the right of radius 5679.65 feet a distance of 201.22 feet; thence north OAo 25' 2&" west llO.7 feet more or less; thence in a north.~esterly direction 65.5 feet more or less to the point of commencement Said City Council hereby determines that no part of the cost of ~aid improvement shall be paid f~ any source other than the special assessment upon benefited property, and that the probable assessments will not exceed the li~dtations set up by Division ~ of the Streets and Highways Code. Said City Council hereby determi~ that said improvements shall be constructed under proceedings taken pursuant to the provisions of the Improveme~ Act of 1911 and that serial bonds to represent unpaid assessments and to bear interest at the rate of five (5) $ cent per annum will be issued in the manner provided by Division 10 of the Streets and Highways Code, in the Im~ merit Bond Act of 1915, the last installment of which bonds will mature fourteen (lA) years from the second day ~ July next succeeding ten (10) months from their date. - The City Clerk is hereby directed to mail prepaid post cards giving notice of the findings of ~ity Council and its proposed action. Each such notice shall have attached thereto an addressed prepaid post c~ With the return postage thereon guaranteed. Such card shall be mailed to each person to whom land in the propo: assessment district is assessed on the last equalized county assessment roll and any person, whether owning in or having a lien or legal or equitable interest in said land within said proposed district who has filed with s~ City Clerk his name and address and the designation of the land in which he is interested. The notice, herein direste~ ~o be mailed by said City Clerk, shall be substantially in the form (filling in the blanks) provided in Section 2951 of the Streets and highways Code, said section being a part of the act known as the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, and the ret, post card shall comply with the provisions of said Section 2951. 244 ~ hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted at a regular meet- ing of the City Council of the City of SoUth San Francisco, held on the 2nd day of February, 19A8, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen G.
