RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK
RESOLVED THAT, ~11ER~AS the City Council of the City of South San Prancisco on the 15th
day of March, 1948, passed its Resolution of Intention No. 1325 to order the improvement work
described in said resolution to be done in said City, which resolution of intention was duly and
regularly published, as required by law, as appears from the affidavit of Myra R. Spangler, now on
file in the office of the City Clerk of said city; and
WHEREA~ notices of the ~ ssage of said resolution of intention No. 1325 were duly and
regularly posted along the lin~ of said contemplated work and improvement ~nd in front of all the
property liable to be assessed therefor, and along all the open streets within the district in said
resolution of intention described, in the manner and form required by law, as appears from the
a~fidavit of Henry L. Schwein~ng, Superintendent of Streets of saidCity, now on file in the office
of said City Clerk of said city; and
WHER~ no protest or objection against said work has been received by said City Clerk
or by said City Council at any time;
NOW THEREFORE, RESOLVED that public interest and convenience require the improvement
work described in said resolution of intention to be done, said City Council of the City of South
San Francisco hereby orders said work to be d~ne, to-wit: the construction of a sanit~ary sewer in
South Maple Avenue and in a right of way connected to said South Maple Avenue in said City, at the
location shown upon the plans heretofore adopted for said work.
Said City Council hereby ascertains that the general prevailing rates of per diem wages
and the general prevailing rates for legal holidays and overtime work applicable to said work to be
done as follows:

Concrete pan work, magesite and mastic workers, wet or dry, sloper, mucker
underground, pavement breakers, jackhammer, vibrators and all
air gas and electric tools, loading and unloading, carrying and
handling all rods and materials for use in reinforcing concrete
construction
General labor, gardeners and landscape laborer~, bridge laborers, construc-
tion laborers, tTackmen, (constructions, maintenance and repair),
all cleanup work of ~ebrts, grounds and buildings, watchmen, flag-
men and guards, concrete laborers (wet or dry) and asphalt shovel-
ers

The City ~lerk is hereby directed to post a notice of said work, together with
plans and speci~fications, on or near the council chamber door, inviting sealed proposals for
doing the wor~brdered, He is also directed to publish a notice inviting sealed proposals and
referring to the specifications posted or on file, by two (2) insertions in "The ~nterprise"~
a weekly newspaper, published and circulated in said City of South San Francisco and hereby
designated for that purpose.
I hereby certify that the foregoi~ resolution was regularly introduced and
adopted by the City Council of the City of South an FrancisCo, this 9th day of April, 1948,
