HomeMy WebLinkAboutReso 1348-1948286 RESOL~TION NO. 13&8 RESOLUTION ORDERING WORK OF CLOSING UP A PORTION OF CYPRESS AVENUE IN THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO. ~EREAS the City Council .of the City of South San Francisco did, on the 9th day of July, 19&~, pass a resolution declaring its intention to order the following street work to be done in said City, to-wit: That the portion of Cypress Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco, described as follows~ Beginning at the southwest corner of the intersection of Baden Avenue with Cypress Avenue, as shown upon that certain map entitled: "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co. Cal. Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo9 California, March 1, 1892, and recorded in Map Book No. 2 at page 52; thence southerly along the easterly line of lot numbered twenty-seven (27) in block numbered one hundred forty-one (1~1), .as shown upon said map, to the southerly line of said lot n,~bered twenty-seven (27), thence easterly and parallel to the southerly line of Baden Avenue to the westerly boundary line of block numbered one hundred forty-five (145); thence northerly along said westerly boundary line of said block numbered one hundred forty-five (145) to the southerly boundary line of Baden Avenue; thence westerly along the southerly boundary line of Baden Avenue. to the point of beginning, be vacated and closed up in whole and did in said resolution declare that no land is necessary to be taken there- for, and did in said resolution specify the exterior boundaries of the district of-land to be affected and bene- fitted by said work and to be assessed to pay the damages, costs and expenses thereof, to which said resolution of intention now on file in said matter reference is hereby made for further particulars and the same is made a part hereof; and WHEREAS the Streets Superintendent of said City of South San Francisco did cause notice of the pass- age of said resolution to be posted and published in the manner and form required by law and by said resolution of intention, reference being hereby made for further particulars to the affidavit of Henry L. Schw~ining, said Streets Superintendent, and to the affidavit of Myra R. Spangler, which,'~affidavit is now on file in said matter in the office of the Clerk of said City Council and is made a part hereof; and ~HEREAS the proposed work is for the closing up of a portion of Cypress Avenue as hereinbefore des- cribed; and WHEREAS said City Council of the City of South San Francisco has determined and does hereby determine that no assessment is necessary for the doing of said proposed work, and that no damage will result by closing up said portion of Cypress Avenue, as hereinbefore described; NOw, THEREFORE, said City Council hereby orders that the following street work to be done in said City, to-wit: That the portion of Cypress Avenue, in said City of South San Francisco, described as follows: Beginning at the southwest corner of the intersection of Baden Avenue with Cypress Aven~, as shown upon that certain map entitled: "South San Francisco, San Mateo Co. Cal. Plat No. 1", which map was filed in the office of the County l~ecerder of the County of San Mateo, California, March 1, 1892, and recorded in Map B~k No. 2 at page 52; thence southerly along the easterly line of Lot numbered twenty-seven (27) in block numbered one hundred forty- one (IAi), as shown upon said map, to the southerly line of said lot numbered .twenty-seven (27); thence easterly and parallel to the southerly line of Baden Avenue to the westerly boundary line of Block numbered one hundred forty-five (1~5); thence northerly alomg said esterlyboundary line of said block numbered one hundred forty-five (145) to the southerly boundary line of Baden Avenue to thepoint of beginming, be, and the same is hereby vacated, discontinued, abandoned and closed up. The City Clerk is hereby direct to cause the certified copy of this resolution to be recorded in the office of the County Recorder of the County of San Mateo, California. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco at a regular meeting held this 17th day o$ May, 19&8, by the following vote~ Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas.
