A RESOLUTION FOR Ik~ITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR BIDS FOR
F~YRNISHING AUTOMOBILE FOR FIRE DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY
OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO
RESOLVED b~ the City ~ouncil of the City of South San Francisco that public interest and convenience require
that ~aid~.ity!purchase~s new automobile for the Fire Department of said City. The bidder, to whom the contract
will be awarded for such automobi~ will be required to purchase of said City the De Soto automobile, Model
now being used in the Fire Department of said City, which automobile bears engine No. S8-2110, Serial No.
5720586, and the sum of money off,red for said ~e Soto automobile shall be applied upon'the purchase price for
the automobile to be acquired.
The City Clerk of said City is hereby directed to publish by two ~2) insertions in "The Journal"
a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the City of South San Francisco, a notice, in
substantially the following form, inviting sealed proposals or bids for such automobile:
NOTICE INVITING SEALED PROPOSALS OR'BIDS FOR FURNISHING
AN AUTOMOBILE TO T~ CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
Sealed proposals will be received by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco until
8:00 p.m. on Eonday the 21st day of June, 19&8, for furnishing to said City, for use by the Fire Department of
said City, a Chrysler automobile, Model 19&8, Such automobile shall be fully equiped.
Sealed proposals will be received by said City Council until 8:00 p.m. on ~onday, the 21st day of
June, 19~8, for furnishing to said City, for use by the Fire Department of said City, a Pontiac automobile,
model 19~8. Such automobile shall be fully equiped.
Sealed proposals will be received by said City Council until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, the 21st day of
June, 19~8, furnishing to said City, for use by the Fire Department of said City, a De Soto automobile, model
19A8. Such automobile shall be fully equiped.
Sealed proposals will be received by said City Council until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, the 21st day of
June, 19~8, for furnishing to said City, for use by the Fire Department of said City, a Dodge automobile, model
19~8. Such automobile shall be fully equiped.
Sealed proposals will be received by said City Council until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, the 21st day of'
J~me, 19&8, furnishing to said City, for use by the Fire Department of said City, a Mercury automobile, model
1948. Such automobile shall be fully equiped~
Each bidder, shall in conjunction with his bid, offer to purchase the De Soto automobile, now
oWned by said Cityof South San Francisco, which De Soto automobile bears engine No. S8-2110, Serial No. 5720586,
but not including the siren, red lights, and spot light and radio now in said automobile. The amount of such
offer shall be applied upon the purchase price of the automobile which may be purchased by said CitY, in the eve~
of an award of contract, pursuant to this notice, and the transfer of said De Soto automobile, now owned by said
City, to the successful bidder. The successful bidder shall, without comnensation, transfer to the automobile to
be p~rchased by said City, the siren, red lights, spot light and two (2) way radio now on Said De Soto automobile
which the successful bidder shall agree to purchase.
No bid shall be considered by said City Council, unless the same is accompanied ~y an offer to
pUrchase said De Soto automobile now o~ned by said City.
Ail sealed proposals or bids will be opened by the City Council in public session on Monday, the
21st day of June, 19~8, at 8:00 p. m., in the Council Chamber of said City Council. The City Council hereby
reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
