RESOLUTION NO. 1358
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR.AUTOMOBILE FOR FIRE
DEPARTMENT OF THE CITY OF SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO.
~P~EAS the City Council of the City of South San Francisco did, in open session, on the 21st day
of June, 19&8, publically open, examine and declare all sealed proposals submitted for furnishing to said City an
automobile for the use of the Fire Department of the City of South San Francisco;
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that said City Council does hereby
reject all sealed proposals except that next hereinafter mentioned, and hereby awards to Mario ¥olonte the contract
for furnishing to said City a DeSoto automobile, ~eLuxe & door Sedan, for the sum of Two Thousand Two Hundred and
Sixty-eight 50/100 Dollars ($2,268.59). Said DeS6to automobile shall be fully equiped. Said Mario Volonte shall,
without compensation, transfer to the automobile, for which this award is made, the siren, red lights, spot light
and two-(2)-way radio now on the De Soto automobile, whichthe successful bidder above-mentioned has agreed to purchase.
Said City Council hereby accepts the offer of said Mario Volonte to purchase the DeSoto automobile, now
owned by said City, which De Soto automobile bears Engine No. S8-2110 and Serial No. 5720586, but not includingthe~
siren, red lights, spot light and readio now in said automobile for the sum of Four Hundred and Fifty Dollars($&50.O0)
Said money first hereinbefore mentioned, and a warrant of said City shall be issued to said successful bidder for the
sum of Eighteen Hundred and Eighteen 59/100 Dollars ($1,818.59).
The Mayor of said City and the City Clerk are hereby authorimed, in the name of said City of South San
Francisco and under its corporate seal, to execute and deliver to said successful bidder all doc~nnents necessary to
transfer the title of said De Soto automobile to.said successful bidder.
I hereby certify that the foregoing redolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council
.of the City of South San Francisco this 6th day of July, 19&8 by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Chas. K. Elder, Leo Ferko, Adolph Sani, Emilio Cortesi.
Noes, Councilmen None
Absent, Councilmen None
