RESOLUTION NO. 1373
A RESOLUTION AWARDING CONTRACT FOR THE CONSTRUCTION
OF THE CENTRAL POLICE STATION.
WHEREAS the City Council of the city of South San Francisco did, in open session on the 7th day of
September, 19d8, publicly open, examine end declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the construction work
hereinafter mentioned:
RESOLVED that said city council hereby rejects sll said proposals or bids except those hereinafter
mentioned, and hereby awards the contracts for the construction of a central police station at the southwesterly
corner of Miller Avenue and Maple Avenue, in the City of SouthSan Francisco, as follows:
The contract for the construction of the building proper and for the performance of all grading work and
yard development work is hereby awarded to JoSeph Bettancourt, the lowest responsible bidder for said work at the
price names in his bid, to-wit: One Hundred and Twenty-four Thousand Nine Hundred and Eight-three Dollars(~2~,983.O0)
including alternated 1 and ~ and excluding alternates 2 and 3 of said bid.
The contract for the installation of all electrical work in said building is hereby awarded to Edward W.
Scott Electric Co., the lowest responsible bidder for said work, at the price named in its bid, to-wit: Nine Thousand
Five Hundred and Fifty-two Dollars ~,552.00).
All said work shall be done at the location shown upon the plans for said work and strictly in accordance with
the plans and specifications for the same, which plans and specifications are now on file in the office of the City Clerk
of said city. All said work and all materi~t~ used in connection therewith shall be furnished under the direction and
to the satisfaction of William Henry Rowe, the architect employed by said City of South San Francisco to design and
supervise said work.
The contract for said work shall be entered into snd said work shall be performed in strict accordance with
the provisions of the notice inviting sealed proposals or bids for said work.
The Mayor of said city and the City Clerk are hereby authorized and directed, in the name of said city and
under its seal, to execute the contract hereby authorized.
I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Council of
the City of South San Francisco this 7th day of September, 19d8, by the following vote:
Ayes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Leo Ferko, Adolph San~, Emilio Cortesi.
