Estes, now deceased, entered into an agreement, December 16, 19A6, wherein said city employed John E. Estes as engineer to make all p~eliminary investigations surveys and estimates, and to prepare all plans for and supervise the construction of the work for which such plans and specifications were to be prepared, and to do all other things mentioned in said agreement, referenc which agreement is hereby made for further particulars; and ~{EREAS said John E. Estes has died, and Jessie B. Estes has been appointed executrix of the last wi and testament of said deceased; and ~HEREAS said city requires that said plans and specifications be examined by an expert sanitary engi to determine the suitability of the plant.and sewers designed in said plans and specifications, and the approv. thereof by such sanitary engineer is a necessary part of the plans and specifications; RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of South San Francisco that payment of the balance of money for the preparation of said plans, specifications and estimates be made to said executrix out of money to be loaned by the United States of America to said City of South San Francdsco, which payment shall be made in accordance with the terms of said agreement, after deducting from such sum of money the sum of Five Hundred Do~ ($500.00) as the fee for service of the sanitary engineer who may be selected by said city to examine said plaJ and specifications, and also after deducting such sum of money as may be reasonably necessary to make said pla and specifications conform to such requirements as may be made by such sanitary engineer. It is a condition o~ the action of said city council, as expressed in this resolution, that said executrix ~hall immediately delive~ to the works engineer of said city all tracings, plans, specifications, work sheets, computations and estimate: all field notes made in connection with any survey for the work provided for in said agreement, and all other documents pertaining to said project in the custody of said executrix. I hereby certify that the foregoing resolution was regularly introduced and adopted by the City Count of the City of South San Francisco this ?th day of September, 19L8, by the following vote: Ayes, Councilmen Noes, Councilmen Victor Boido, Leo Ferko, Emilio Cortesi, Adolph Sani.
